My Perspective on Humanistic Psychology & Why It Sometimes Feels Harsh On Our Reality

Being a psycologist myself, humanistic psycology is area of psycology which particularly interests me and why is this? First of all i like to say that humanistic psycology is an aspect of psycology that particularly pinpoints freewill as the basis of responsibility. Truth is, a lot of thing drives the human action, it could be an impulse, it could be involuntary.

Sometimes when people react or behave through impulse so many factors often come in play. Sometimes people follow their sentiments and emotions when they're spending for example, the environment in which they are often Influences their resolve and rearranges any set of ideologies that are originally held by them. Because we're alive, we're constantly changing allowing ourselves to be influenced by what might dominate our intuition.

But then, people are quick to praise themselves for success but looks for scape-goat to blame their failures on. This is to show that we can't never be 100% logical, our sentiment will always allow us project our bias on matters that requires us to have a clear mind on.

It feels rather good to feel good when we do well but then it takes a deep sense of understanding for many to take responsibility for their failures. Failure irks us but then, the actions, the decisions and the choices that resulted to that failure is solely dependent on us. Freewill is the most powerful gift given to man. It allows a man to be domineering, have the power to be faced with diverse variables and having a superfluous mind to make that decision which he deems to be the best.

Freewill makes us even stronger, the mind is where we are the most powerful. The body is only a tool that projects the many willfulness of the mind and this is why our consciousness lies in the mind, the moment the mind ceases to have cognitive functions, the body is just good as dead.

Most of our actions are projected by the mind, our brain functions and all the emotions it projects, the motor skills and our ability to even process information, professor solutions to our problems and find comfort in almost difficult situation. The ability to project and put it into motion is because of freewill, the fact that we're not limited in our ability to express and bring our thoughts into life is the humanistic aspect of psychology.

Generally my assertions is that impulse or freewill all affects our decisions and choices, inasmuch as some branch of psychology might tend to have different views. In reality a lot of values in the human life can be involuntary.

An example of this is empathy. Sometimes others prey on or take advantage of this. When we see people in trouble mostly our first instinct would be to help them out, this sometimes comes involuntarily and mostly we might not even see any danger at all in trying to help out someone who is in distress and they might just take advantage of this.

Nevertheless, humanistic psychology would say that Irrespective of how Influence we are, the strong desires to react by what we're feeling at the end of the day, we're wholly responsible for our choices because we made them and what drove us in the first place never mattered.

This is often proven a lot of time in our lives. Sometimes we're out doing good, following our emotions and what we deem to be right. Sometimes we have a personalised opinion of what is right and wrong but in all sincerity, not everyone will understand or agree. My views or conclusion is that whether voluntary or involuntarily, we're responsible for our impulse.

There are times we blame our hormones for some of the things we do. But then, we omit these hormones, they're part of us and we're responsible for keeping them in check. When we're tempted by different vices into doing things we wouldn't have done originally, we're still responsible no matter how harsh it is and this is why humanistic psychology appeals to our reality and how harsh it can be on us sometimes.

"Do good and take the glory. Do bad and blame adrenaline"

That's human reaction, eh?
It's very ridiculous to even imagine this. But, people just do it and l might have been tempted to do so on some occasions. It just shows that we have alot to learn about keeping our emotions in check.

Well Done On This One ✌️

Yeah our behaviour sometimes can even suprise us and this is actually the reasons why we're learning everyday, something different about ourselves everyday and keeping it in check and trying to do better at all times.
