Splinterlands: The Secret To Winning Guild Battles

I finished top of my guild yesterday with six wins and one defeat, racking up a total of 18 points. My highest ever before then has been 3 wins and 3 defeats. My last Guild fray saw me win one game and lost six battles.

This time around, the reverse was the case. It was exciting for me. Winning in a guild proves you're a valuable member, because the more points you can score, the better it'll be for your Guild. In the outing before this one, I was completely torn apart and after scrutiny of what went wrong.

Discover Your Strongest Element

I discovered that my water deck was locked by my opponent and they used gladius cards such as Quora in their own battles to deal the fatal blow. So locking my water deck and completely making it inaccessible, exposed me a lot.

First of all, my water summoners are the strongest of all my summoners and I guess that having opponents that could look through my summoners is the worst, and maybe because I've built a lot of my strategies on water element. Some of the biggest wins I've ever gotten on splinterlands are because of the use of my water deck and taking that option away leaves me very vulnerable.

However, in this last fray, I had access to my water deck and I completely left all of my opponents dazed. I destroyed some without even losing a card and when I look back at how this happened, I discovered that my water deck is where my 30 to 35% of my splinterlands investment has gone into.

So having access to my most worthy and favorite deck, helps me to create some formidable strategies, so irrespective of the opponent's strategy and cost of the lineup, if they're going to beat me, then they'd sweat to do so or even have to depend on luck to beat me.

Having Adequate Battle "Mana"

I discovered I don't thrive or do so well with little mana, however having 30+ mana helps me to put up some solid lineup. In the just concluded guild games, I had that and it was satisfying to see how well I came out on top. Mind you, there's not as having strong Gladius cards.

The right ones can even defeat a maxed lineup. The splinterlands' economy is constantly changing and value is often relocated from one asset to another.

At the moment, the Gladius cards bring some amazing in-game value which might translate to SPS rewards, but on their own, they carry no dollar value whatsoever. So, a lot of people want to own them, because of the in-game value.

Also, SPS is getting some unbelievable value, because of how earning dollar-based rewards are now going to be dependent on them in the various leagues. For people who own a lot of them. It's fine right time to get the appropriate value, as value, utility, and a bigger use case have been relocated to it. Back to battling in the fray.

The Gladius Cards Goals

I've begun to earn my batch of Gladius packs by simply having more merit rewards. It's become easier to compete against the top dogs with the biggest Gladius cards.

However, until I can boast of 10 gladius cards each, all at level at least, then I haven't gotten enough. Battling in the fray is richly rewarding.

This time, I'm getting 1.25k merit and 14 staked SPS, and I'll add this to my SPS collection to continue the accumulation. I really do hope I can continue having access to my water deck at all times because when I do, my guild members are guaranteed of at least four wins every time we enter the fray.

Wow .. congratulations 👏🎉

That was a massive win!!!

I am glad this time you had the opportunity to utilize your valuable and most loved asset to create formidable strategies and you won.

It was great knowing that having such an advantage would mean your opponent get to sweat a bit before they can defeat you and somehow even depend on luck too.

Congratulations again, Jose

Hehe, every win on splinterlands should be celebrated, because in the last one, those guys tore apart haha. I was ashamed because I still got my share of SPS and merit. Today I'm happy to be the one carrying my team.

They had firstly kicked me in the groin two guild battles back, to the extent that I had to apologize to my guild member for being beaten hahaha

Hahaha, nice to be on the winning side. I hate it when I perform badly but we all understand it is part of the game.

Just play according to your strengths and that is the best way to approach the splinterland brawls. I am glad that you found your own strategy and great job.
