The Bumpy Road To Recovery

avatar

I woke up to a sea of red in the market and it spells out the situation in my life. The bear market has been doing one step forward, and two steps backward. It's a funny market thus far, while it's given people some mixed feelings, it's made it difficult for the strategies of some others to work.

The instant we see a recovery, a dump happens and it's been doing. It spells out the situation in my health status as of late. Yesterday morning, it felt like my nostrils would finally be free from the blockage, caused by the flu and all that phlegm would go, but I woke up this morning, unable to breathe, and I could feel that phlegm blocked the two sides of my nostrils.

Sometimes, the road the recovery is not always smooth as many would think and this is because recovery itself is dependent on circumstances that are beyond our control. Crypto taking a huge dump again today, signals a whole new unpredictability to what we'll term recovery.

While we can no longer tell what market we're in, sometimes in life, it feels like we're moving forward but then a step backward might give us a different notion. It's like someone who has their salary Increased, this is normal progress, but if they consider the increased need and the inflation rate, they'll understand that they're barely moving upwards. Sometimes we need the illusion that we're doing well or recovering to keep sane.

When people ask about my health or financial status, I cannot tell them that I'm doing badly, rather, I'll be forced to tell them I'm doing okay and this is because we humans, we're wired to feel or think that tomorrow is always going to be better than yesterday, while this is seldom true, it's not always true. When it comes to money, it's believed that once a person invests, there's an inevitability to profiteering because they've made that move. There's an atom of unpredictability that's etched in our lives and people who are vested in crypto might understand this to a certain extent, while people who aren't might not. For example, I became sick because I've been putting my body on the line to secure a better living for myself. Since I know that putting my body on the line would cause me to be sick, I still did it anyway and this was because there was no certainty to this possibility.

So because I couldn't predict how bad things were going to turn out, I decided to do what I had to do. So even if I had a crystal ball that could show me how bad things could get, does this mean I should be happy with stagnancy instead of aiming to move higher and get my wings clipped in the process? This is how it is with crypto, we all know that at a certain point, we might lose the money we've invested, messing up with our mental health in the process and this is why people take precautions when it comes to risk rather than avoiding risks. In life, it's always difficult to get something without giving anything in return. Every day we're always sacrificing something for the other. The effect of the opportunity cost forgone is what eventually helps us to know if we've made the wrong choices or not.

Risks & Sacrifice: At What Expense?

The degree of repercussions or outcome of an event is what determines if we've made the wrong choices or not. Nevertheless, we see ourselves coming back stronger even when we've been through the ringer, this is because being "down" is not an option, since there are the possibilities that we might fail again. This isn't the end for Crypto and this is not the end for my health status. This means that I've not seen the worst and I've not seen the best. The sea of red in crypto today isn't the worst, because we haven't completely hit rock bottom, I guess before we do, some people might hit the "SELL" button and live forever to regret it later. So also, I cannot say I've seen the best, this is why the road to recovery isn't smooth, the idea that it has to be, is based on mere hope. Nevertheless, I'm taking it one day at a time.

They literally have attempted my murder and are trying to kill me with V2K and RNM. Five years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. I bet we can get to the sources of V2K and RNM then. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism ..... https://ecency.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem if you run into one of them you may want to immediately shoot them in the face. 187, annihilate, asphyxiate, assassinate, behead, bleed, bludgeon, boil, bomb, bone, burn, bury, butcher, cap, casket, choke, chop, club, crucify, crush, curb, decapitate, decimate, deflesh, demolish, destroy, devein, disembowel, dismember, drown, electrocute, eliminate, end, euthanize, eviscerate, execute, explode, exterminate, extinguish, finish, fry, grind, guillotine, gut, hack, hang, hit, ice, implode, incinerate, kill, liquidate, lynch, massacre, maul, microwave, mutilate, neutralize, obliterate, off, pop, poison, punnish, quarter, ruin, shank, shock, shoot, shred, skin, slay, slaughter, smoke, smother, snipe, snuff, squish, stab, strangle, stone, suffocate, suicide, SWAT, swing, terminate, torture, terrorize, whack, waste, wreck. You make me think in two kinds of persons: the ones who understand the feeling of crypto-enthusiastic and the ones who don't.
In the road, everyone learn to face these situations with different strategies, until the point where no strategy will work ;(
I am happy I put out three stakings and moving to trade... till now I am losing less than if I left it on staking. My only bad feeling this morning was that yesterday night is supposed I left a short for BTC with some 20% of my portfolio, but unfortunately I didn't finish the last step... Anyway, we don't know until where it will deep, but I feel passed worst moments on 2018-2019 crypto-winter.
Good luck in our crypto-journey!
Maybe in some years we are laughing about these days...

Trading isn't for the faint of heart, this is because I myself have tried, I think I'm more of the stable type of guy, this is why I don't make those outrageous money, but I'm satisfied by all means.
As for you too, good luck with all your trading, I hope winter doesn't last two long on us.

Trading it’s kind of stressful, yes. I begin to learn anything related since 2016, cryptos in 2017.
Last two year did not do too much trading, maybe once a week. I was very comfortable yo see my rewards growing my staking. It’s just now that i am feeling the market very uncertain that i am trying to keep my capital going out to a stable and buy in a down moment. Otherwise I don’t want to pass again the experience of 2018, when always the hope of ‘this time it will go up’ and putting money over money until I finished in depts.
Well, in some moment i have to decide to come back money to two or three staking strategies, if market doesn’t take all suddenly from my portfolio. Still keeping some hope to surf this storm.
Good luck too!

Fingers crossed for your health status. I think you’ll see the uptrend with your nose far sooner than the uptrend with the crypto. Sadly, there are times like these and if we believe in crypto generally, there’s no reason to panic now. We just had to be patient and accumulate all the way down the bottom. Yes, most people may choose to sell, but the reality is that in times like this you have to continue accumulating, even with smaller steps than usual. I’m on the principle “invest as much as you can afford to lose comfortably”, so not a big deal now. Furthermore, I decided to sell almost all of my portfolio with BTC around 59k. Maybe the best decision ever.

Anyway, wish you a fast recovery.
Best wishes!

Sorry about your health status. In the unending strive for a better living, we always have to give bits of ourselves to make some gains.
As humans, optimism is the only hope we can afford, and it’s safer to reassure yourself of recovery than give in to the uncertainty of fate.

Sending you healing and hugs. Though I believe your recovery is going to happen on a faster pace than that of crypto. Lol.

Well, I'm assured of the recovery, it's just that basking or being tethered to reality is how to be truly hopeful...for me. I just think hope should be based on what is obtainable and not wishful thinking, anyways, life's what it is, sometimes the reality sucks joy out of one.

Thanks a lot, I'll sure be good.

You've been sick? 😳🥺 So sorry my trouble mate, I didn't think genius like you fall sick 😂 just kidding... Sorry, you'll be fine soon just like crypto will go up too.

Everything has its own time... Don't mind that flu blocking your nostrils, I know how that feels very well 😒

Well, I hope people don't sell and regret later... The red market should be a sign to keep holding and I'm trying my best to, it's not easy sha

Get well soon friend 😊

I won't say the sickness is lethal, I expect it always, it's just been reoccurring for weeks now and this is because of the change to my stress level. It's become really bad in the past few days.
Thanks for your concern, I'll sure be good... Hopefully with time.

This isn't the end for Crypto and this is not the end for my health status.

It is rough bro, life, crypto, it is rough we only tag along and face everyday as it comes stronger yet beaten but it is not the end for crypto neither is it the end for your well being.

Get well soon.

Thanks a lot sir, the truth is, I've been really thinking. Taking time to reflect on my life and surprisingly it's when I get ill that I tend to reflect on the reality of my life and Crypto in general.

Bear market is hard for those who depend solely on crypto for their daily expenses.

Times like these do one other thing as well, they highlight who's really on your team when things get rough. It's easy to stand by someone when everything's great, but the real test of the mettle of a man is how he responds when the need is great.

I had to cut loose some grifters in my own life who always took, and never gave. I feel freer now, no longer carrying that dead weight as I was before. Time to focus on me and the smaller circle of true friends I have around me.

You're a wise, thoughtful and perceptive person, whose inner strength shines throughout your writing. Know that we are pulling for you over here and all around Hive. :)
