The Cause (Cost) Of Living.
I woke up this morning to the news of a girl who lost her life to ritual killing, and her private parts were cut off for the money-making process by someone close to her........her boyfriend
In this part of Africa, people believe that killing their fellow human beings can make wealth for them, while I'm not completely disputing supernatural influence determining physical wealth. I just think it's too bizarre that a person with no means of work or proof of hustle can expect a money-printing machine, it's not logical.
What do I know?
The psychology of people is often wired by the things they've been through, their experience, their pain, and their worst nightmares, and sometimes, their poverty can make them ignorant, and blind to understand what is attainable and what is not obtainable.
A lot of people underestimate how poverty can impact the mentality and choices of people. When it comes to having regard for or following morals, some people have allowed their fear of lack and want to eclipse their sense of morals, to the extent that they can do anything just to have the security that comes with financial gains.
It's what/who we are.
It's the same with wanting assurance and security all around. There are people who can do unconventional things just to save their loved ones or provide for them. I believe it's easier to set theoretical boundaries in our minds and say there are things we can't do.
However, when we're practically pushed to a wall, experiencing pain, failure, and loss, this is when we begin to understand that there are no boundaries we cannot cross whether it follow logic or not or even morals.
If I was offered to do anything to bring my brother back from the dead, I'd surely do anything without thinking twice about morals or consequences
Why?
Emotional instinct kicks in before morals or boundaries. This is why I never judge people unless I've been 100% through what they have, seen the things they have, and felt the pain they've felt.
Women are mostly accused of loving money, hence this love of money pushes them to do atrocious things. Sometimes last year there was published news in the papers about girls sleeping with dogs because of some nice chunk of money.
It's mostly how it is here.
Some women are pushed to the wall, in poverty, coming from a dysfunctional family. Abusive parents, poverty, exposure to child labor, and no access to education. Some women lose their parents early in life and are left on the streets to fend for themselves.
A lot of women would take to unconventional ways to fend for themselves making it easier for them to fall into the hands of ritual killers. I'm not saying greed is not a motivation to follow money, sometimes, people are driven from a place of desperation more than they're driven from a place of greed.
I and my sibling suffered a lot from poor parenting and the ripple effect of that is why I've lost him. Sometimes, the developmental phases of young people are the most crucial aspects of their lives, and when people lose that, they're left to a wicked world without the natural protection of the people who birthed them.
This is why I'm constantly saying that I'll do better when I have children, the sequence of family failure in modern society creates an irreparable rot.
Causality is present in every situational phenomenon.
While things like ritual killing are not excusable no matter what, we have to understand that that is human behavioral tendencies and experiences that make it thrive. There are so many institutions that have failed causing a huge decadence.
However, when we haven't faced the vicissitude of life, it's easier to judge people from a comfortable position, however, the good thing is that everyone eventually experiences their fair share of life, and this is why we learn in a different frame, but sometimes there are people who have it better than others.

The world turns crazier with each passing day, in my opinion. The fact that you can't offer 100% trust to the one you share your life with, makes me lose my hope in humanity even more. There are way too many news with people killed by someone very close to them lately...
It's true. It's now becoming a norm to be killed by someone you share a lot of things or connections and even closeness with. A lot of cases of mental illness that became paranoia

Honestly, I have no clue where this world is leading to. But nothing feels safe anymore. Not even to live in your own house with those you love and believe they love you back..
Same for people we can friends and associates. Intentions are getting difficult to predict, especially since fake love is everywhere, people are capable of anything

They're embedded in the root core of mentally deranged, spiritual and ignorant people. The society is a cesspool of these people.
The issue of ritual killing nowadays has become a norm from my view.
And I think poverty and lack of access to education and financial orientation are at the root of it all. However, society has also played a part in making young adults think not being rich at a young age is a disease or a plague. Today some girls won't even talk to you if you don't own an iPhone or drive a car.
We can only pray not to fall victim to any of these perpetrators' evil acts because stories like this are becoming more rampant compared to the past. And in my own open-onion I don't think they are stopping anytime soon.
It became worse in Nigeria real quick. They're not going to stop unless the government of a country is truly intentional about stopping it. However some politicians are embedded in the root of sorcery, witchcraft and ritual killing.

I deal with mad stiff like this al.oust day a day here, not everyone talk about it, here in venezuela there is many gangs and small crees of "students" kids around 15/19 years who steal and kill for respect i have no clue what's going inside those minds, actually i'm dealing with a medical issue and been really rought, imagine dealing with all the económica crisis between this.
I don't know such things happens in Venezuela too.

Sometimes when I see people do crazy things, I don't even blame them. We never can tell what is behind that action they took. Even though we know what triggered them to do such, we still may not justify it because we are not the ones in those shoes
Personally, I think the end time is approaching because so many evil and bad things are increasing everyday. It is better for one to be cautious. How can a human being kill his fellow human just because he wants to make fast money. The world is going insane, earnestly. I just hope this should send a signal to all the girls so they can be cautious with who they are calling their own.
True, however, I won't totally judge the girl like others are doing online. If someone asked me to give off the most important part of me to get back my only brother, I'll do it. Desperation can make people mistakes, but no excuses.
Humans will do anything to survive. An hungry man they say is an angry man. A lot of people have lost their humanity just because they want to survive and live. The phase," survival of the fittess also come in place here. There is no love in the land, no human emphaty like that. I love your decision about creating an enabling environment for your kids.
I can't blame the parents, some are trying but the condition they find themselves too is not appealing. No conducive environment to thrive. We are lucky in this generation as we have the Internet to leverage to our advantage.

That sucks to hear but there are definitely people who are crazy for money. I can't imagine that happening at all even if I see it in an article. I wonder if it's just because most of us can't really relate because it isn't happening to us directly.
Ritual killings happens here in my country and it's even deeper or more sophisticated than I thought, but it's what it is. Picturing it won't bring the exact picture
People should be hanged in public who have no regard for other people's feelings and only care about money and these people stoop to such lows for money we can't even imagine the way this boy did. What is very wrong with the girl and she should be punished very severely.
