The Intrinsicality Of Personal Insurance; In Retrospect.

Most of the things we do in life is aimed at insurance: investment, getting a degree, acquiring a skill, going to the hospital, having a job or even practising healthy living. Any thing that aims at providing insurance is always productive and this is why i believe that personal insurance is the best way to attain or achieve any kind of longevity in life.

In the society where i come from a lot of parents wants to live for the moment. They actually overstate the essence of fruitful parent by thinking they only need to cloth, feed and house their children. I think the first premonition to insurance is actually planning. When people perceive that they're about to take on financial responsibilities the first thing would be planning because this is what ensures the chances of success.

In life an intention is more or less like an action that is static and not in motion, when people plan, they're taking a step to ensuring. When a person comes up with the intention to plan, they look beyond the present, they make reference to the past in other to predict what they future might look like especially if they've taken their time to actually influence it.

In the past people left the future to fate. They think whatever will become will become but nowadays human beings have the resources to influence the future, tweak it's outcome to substantial level. One of the biggest problem in most ghosted African sector is planning. When you don't do this, you're leaving the present and the future to fate.

One of the biggest skill of a man is to actually read patterns and likelihoods, sequence and reoccurrence to predicate a possibility. Someone who is exposed to a boss that's looking for a way to sack them should already be seeing themselves out of that job and already finding solutions to feed their family, looking for means to ensure that sack wouldn't plunge him into scarcity or poverty even if the sack hasn't originally come.

There's what I call unanticipated consequence and this is suffering from the results of events of which you never saw coming. But then in life, we are capable of predicting more than 70% of things that happens to us unless we choose not to. Sometimes people choose to suffer from not planning because they think they're planning towards a negative phenomenon which they wouldn't want to happen to them.

People actually fail because they refuse to envisage the chanciness of failure. Most of the times poverty happens to people because they don't plan to be poor, a lot of people who are wealthy happens to be wealthy because they acknowledged poverty earlier than they should and became proactive to fighting it. It feels rather paradoxical but then it's true.

My father never left me any properties before he died and this was because he didn't plan beyond when he wouldn't be around anymore. Rather, he accrued responsibilities and debts which was tasked on me to take care of; had he been proactive he would have taken the precaution of self or personal insurance to ensure his children wouldn't have to suffer.

One thing about insurance is that is doesn't just insure you, it inadvertently extends to people around you. When you're building a house for example it doesn't just ensure you wouldn't be homeless. It would ensure that people close to you, like your next-of-kin will benefit from your proactive thinking. Take a look at some government in some government and I'll take Nigeria for example.

Oil is the most lucrative natural resources but then it's supply isn't unlimited. The people in power aren't planning for when this oil wouldn't be there to rig in other to ensure the nation wouldn't plummet financially and this is because a lot of them feel they wouldn't be alive when this oil would have run dry. Selfishness is mostly why people do not plan towards insurance but then in life each and every human needs to cultivate it to bolster continuity especially in finance and other tenable sectors of life.

Wow, an awesome article brother. Planning is very important in our lives and what I have learnt from this your article is that we should not think that everyday would be a sunny day for us and we should plan for when the winter comes or if not we alone would not be affected but those around us.

Really worth reading every word. Thanks for sharing bro.

Thanks for dropping by man, actually in the process of writing this, I actually taught myself too. I have been through a lot in life and I have come to understand that we need to at least provide comfort for the people coming after us... Give them a sort of foundation to build on so that they can better their lives and this is where insurance actually comes in.

True... This is the gospel truth and l can still recall how most of us were seeing insurance as a waste of money. By most of us, l mean my colleagues in University.

It's funny to see that people don't mind saving money in a bank but when it comes to getting involved with insurance, a whole lot of them just disregard it. Perhaps, this could be because of the long term maturity of insurance.

What we fail to admit is that if we don't plan for the future, it will cripple us and restrict us from reaching heights.

What l like about this post is that it didn't just focus on financial insurance. You gave a broad view of insurance and l believe that we can start this through planning.

Thanks for the awesome response, in all honesty, it's often more psychological than I deemed it, insurance is important and inasmuch as we don't have insurance plans with some organisation, it's important that we have insurance personally, by our own selves. Something we can depend on and have our children, next of kin depend on as well. Not thinking of insurance is foolhardy and this is why we have people with unattended lives after they've lost their wards or parents.

Insurance is very important but it is sad to see that many people still underrate it..

I think the best thing to do is expect the best but make a plan incase it doesn't go the way you way. At least that tends to be what I think so I think investing in something you believe long-term is best (even if it goes against you short term).

predicting more than 70% of things that happens to us unless we choose not to.

There are always two sides to every coin. If there is the possibility of success we must not rule out the probability of failure. How to react to these outcomes goes a long way in determining how we value the life we live

Whether we're rich or not we should value our lives and the lives of people closer to us. That's how we ensure that we need an insurance plan for them to continue even if we're no longer there.

Well

It is true that these days on one waits around for fate to take care of their future, they try as much as they can to influence it

and it is also true that most of our parent does not care about our future, they are mostly concern about the present

And that is food, shelter, and clothing.

You cannot blame them, they do not have enough experience to know what they are supposed to do, besides,
most of them had parents who were concerned about these three things too

But you should be grateful that they educated us enough in a way that we can find opportunities and then make our lives and that of our future families better

however, I have always heard about insurance but never really know how it works

And I was hoping you will throw more light on your post....but it is fine

Reading your post
I was gravitating
toward an insurance policy.
Like life insurance, health insurance. etc..
This insurance you mention has a lot to do with planning.
At least it is proper to say you prepare your bed before you go to sleep.

Yeah it is proper to say one prepares their bed before laying on it. The truth. Insurance is important, not because it just secures us but because it ensures we plan towards ourselves and our loved ones, a lot of people think it's child's play and after reading some opinions of people on it, I believe people aren't really enlightened. They should know better. Thanks for dropping by and the support as always.
