Unemployment rate in South African is at 40%

So South Africa is currently agog with the xenophobic issues they have that's currently ongoing. So apparently they're asking anyone who isn't a South African by origin to go back to where they initially came from.

So even if you're married to a South African and have South African kids, yoor kids still gets bullied even if they get the citizens by birth rights. It's strange that a black or an African country can be hostile to their fellow blacks, beat them up in the streets and treat them inhumanity.

I think this present uprising is something recent, because I had south African friends back in the day, we vibed and all. Infact I could have left the country where I was to go to South Africa, I had friends who wanted to offer me free housing and a lot of other stuff to set myself up.

I use to know a couple of people from Botswana too and the only reason why I'm probably not in South Africa today, is that I considered the health situation I had, I had a sibling and a mother and generally wasn't in a good financial situation.

I was helping some of them co-author their books, we had great relationships and I could have probably milked that relationship to leave the country, but then again, maybe I'd be planning to run away now because of the xenophobic attack and perhaps maybe my life would have been in danger.

Although my life may have significantly improved as well, and I may have probably left that country to somewhere else. Scratch that, my point is that some South African are great people, one of the person I know from way back still texts me on Instagram and we talk, however from what I see recently on the Internet, I wonder what percentage of the people are xenophobic and those who are not.

I understand that this sect of people doing this are not the majority, but it's quite alarming that a country in a strategic business relationship with the whole of Africa is expressing some extreme hatred for other black people and their government is silent about it.

The government have business relationships with bigger countries like Kenya and Nigeria, and if Nigeria was half a serious country, the economy of South African would be feeling some serious heat from their lack of actions towards the xenophobic treatment that their citizens are getting in south Africa.

Let's look at it this way, south Africa is the US of Africa, and most times a lot of people migrate there because the weather is great, there are great businesses opportunities if you have money to invest, the place is basically a hub, and many UK and Europeans are permanently living here because of the tourist attraction, the real estate housing business opportunities and the money that's available to be made.

Now, because of these opportunities being spotted and taken advantage of, the locals themselves might not be competitive enough to own companies and all that.

Take a look at the UK for example, it's reported that Indians owns more houses in the UK that native UK citizens and while there may have been agitation from native UK citizens about foreign folks exceling really well, you'd never see a public demonstration of people attacking and physical assaulting Indians for owning more houses than even native UK citizens.

This is how progressive the UK is. A lot of American and European countries welcomes innovation, and when you're there to pay tax, add up to their GDP and basically improve their economy, then you're welcome. In US for example, there are more Asian and black people in the US army than native US indigenes.

I understand that the US too is recently shutting their doors because of terrorism going on in other places, but I just think some south Africans and the South African government are making some terrible mistakes and especially jeopardizing the foreign relationship they have with the rest of the world.

A place like Botswana is relatively better to live, economically, less hatred for fellow blacks, great economy, great weather, beautiful country and business opportunities too, and they're not as loud as they as south Africans.

Again I think it's also a call for countries like Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Nigerian and Ghanaians to better their country. Nigeria and Zimbabwe are far worse off because of corruption and evil and honestly it's a crazy situation.

I think if the south African government fail to ensure diplomacy they may hurt the relationship they've built over the years. The foreign relationship they have with other far more superior countries and the rest, and this might make their already high unemployment rate of their locals even worse.

I never thought a day would come where a black country will be fighting fellow blacks simply because they're building businesses making money and becoming very rich, I thought they'd be happy these guys are also contributing to building their economy.

Why it matters: In this important blog post, the recent outbreak of violence on foreign African citizens residing in South Africa is brought to our attention. This piece needs to be shared to initiate important global discussions on human rights violations in contemporary African states. In his piece, the author emphasizes that assaulting foreign entrepreneurs who are successful in business activities will eventually lead to the decline of local business development rather than helping in any way...

When there are economics problems, people get angry and willing to do anything to get out of it... Remember Hitler didn't come out of nowhere, a big part was played by the disaster of the economy Germany was in

Yeah you're right, it's even rumored that the economic situation might be worse than we think, maybe the unemployment rate is higher. I think hating other people who are in your country and trying to build a life for the present economic condition is honestly horrible

They know that Nigerian leaders are a bunch of fools, it the likes of obasanjo was still president they'd never do what they're currently doing because they'd understand the repercussions of their actions. I think they're a state (South African) overestimating their worth, and they ought to actually learn that lesson

So many economic problems persist from corruption and sometime sheer stupidity. I'm far from an expert on the African continent economically, but I know they have some of the greatest resources available in the world. Yet that wealth is all too often stolen or squandered. It really is sad to see that they don't work together to make things better for everyone...

The south African unemployment situation is really high, there are unemployment situations in a place like the US, your country, but we don't see people blaming non indigenous US residents, this us the opposite in south Africa. Over there it's complete chao, people killing others just because they want them to abandon the life they built and leave the country.

Thank you for the tips

It all comes down to economics. I think it was bound to happen at some point when the wealth gap becomes that large and people are having trouble surviving.

you're right, when the wealth gap becomes too obvious it was likely to reflect one way or the other, and this time, south Africa citizens are agitated

Add another 50% to 60% and you will eb close to the unemployment figure. The government has to deport or chase away the migrants or they will lose the next elections and why they are sitting on the fence with this not interfering with the June 30th deadline. The borders should have been closed decades ago and the local people are very unhappy with the situation. If there are no jobs you can understand their feelings and this was always going to end up in this situation. Every migrant is an economic migrant and this should not be allowed unless you have skills that are required by that country. The majority of people in SA are uneducated and unskilled like many of those migrants arriving over the borders and why they are competing for the same jobs.

Come the 1st July we shall see what happens and most of the migrants should have left. This is not about hating each other, but what has been allowed to happen and is now more about survival. I think this is more about economics and common sense because those migrants who are not working are getting money from somewhere and why infrastructure crime is so high.

Looks like your comment wasn't well received, josethedick is not interested in the truth, it's more like looking for attention with these posts.
