Who are the true target audience of Elon Musk's SpaceX?

291006.png

For the third straight day I'm talking about Elon Musk, now you notice how everything about him seems to be about the letter X; spaceX, X (formerly Twitter) Grok XAI and all that.

I think generally we live in a world where branding and packaging 50% determines how you're going to be accepted and patronized, apart from this, understand your target audience, what they want, what interests them, what they're likely to put money in, their technological advancement policies and a lot of that.

Look at SpaceX for example, it's Elon Musk's biggest flagship project. It's robust, futuristic, and a potential hundreds of trillions of dollars company, look at where it is; at the heart of America's space sector, that's the target audience.

Musk predicts that the elites in the US will someday seek tech to explore areas beyond the earth, the government themselves will need privatized space programs already funded and waiting to be plugged in, and Elon stands to not just become a collaborator in the hands of government, he stands to benefit from whatever "gains" will be achieved.

Definitely not for the regulars

So SpaceX is not for the regular audience, that's why it gets more attention than the likes of Tesla, even though Tesla in itself with how it's gotten the AI system that makes it one of the smartest cars in the world still don't get that much attention.

This is again because of target audience. Tesla is the present, generating billions in income and printing mad money, but Elon is pretty much very excited about spaceX and GROK AI, why?

AI is an untapped trillion dollar economy and SpaceX is the future of travel, advancement and tech. His social platform investment called X is just to continue expanding his brand and making it somewhat lovable.

So basically Elon Musk doesn't need the spaceX money or instant success.*

Infact SpaceX isn't as successful yet, it's still standing alone and hasn't plugged in to the proper technological advancement and that's because it's uses are currently limited in today's world, and that's where Elon musk has probably cemented his legacy and that of his kids.

If any of his kids are half as innovative as he is (of course he wouldn't hand over his empire to someone who don't his child) then spaceX should probably go on to become one of the biggest projects to define space travel, but then it might not, as he won't live forever and the next person might just mess it up.

My point is, Elon is futuristic and building futuristically. At this point it's probably no longer about the money. He's probably not even going to touch a billion dollars, or save that figure in his bank account. His wealth is illiquid and he's not going to be buying jets and gold toilets and wear heavy jeweleries.

No longer about the money

I'm not saying he hasn't enjoyed all that, my point is that if the money for him was to hold liquid currency maybe in a keyman or offshore accounts then spaceX wouldn't be a thing.

The man was already financially free as a millionaire, and this is one thing with people like him: (not that we see a lot like him anyway) they're not it in for the money. Man's probably there for the status, power and legacy.

This was why he went all out to support Trump's government and used his flagship app; X to do the campaign for him. Access, power and status is the level where he is now, and no longer about the money.

Inasmuch as I don't really like him, studying him helps me understand something. You need a lot of money to make a lot of more mad money, and you also need to be lucky in the process.

A lot of grass to grace stories are no longer people starting from ground zero, it's people who leveraged the opportunities they inherited or got by the system that surrounded them.

You rightly explain that Elon Musk's true target audience consists of wealthy elites and governments needing privatized space programs.

As it is clear that this project is no longer about making money or holding simple liquid currency...

Well liquid currency is great, at the moment that's what still makes the likes of Warren Buffett very powerful; having the type of liquid cash that even Elon Musk cannot blast of.

i think with spaceX he's trying some personal achievement, he doesn't care to make money from rich people out of this, it's just personal ego at this point

I still think he cares about being called a trillionare, but above all he's more concerned about the power and status.

Space X is just warming up, and will become one of the most valuable companies of all time. As for as his wealth goes, he has said in the past he would use it to fund the first colony on Mars. He has even said that he would like to die on Mars and be buried there. His vision may yet drive humans into a multiplanetary species. The future will be fascinating, if only we can live long enough to see it!

I wish I could have afforded to invest one billion in Space X stock like that woman from Australia. Just imagine having that much wealth at your fingertips...

Well I'm not sure he can determine when he's going to die, but even if he lives 40 to 45 years extra, humans still wouldn't be able to make Mars habitable in 45 years time, I think it's more of something like 100 years time, but then I'm just speculating. It may come sooner than later and then he and other elites can be the first to make inter planetary living a reality and become the first landlords.

Wow a woman invested one billion dollars? How do these people become so rich?

I think it's about the vision he portrays, and if people can get in on things before things take off, they will. I agree that it isn't about money for him because he is already set for life.

Imagine already becoming a millionaire in the 1990s and there was no way he was going to become poor again, so it definitely wasn't about the money for him.
