Welcome to my disaster ( I move house )
Hello everyone, I want to share with you that I moved, this is like the fifth time since I have been in this country. This is the hard life of the migrant, first for budget and then for comfort... My case was more than all the last because I want to dedicate myself to working from home and for that I first need to have an adequate space, I gathered for several months and sacrificed many things. I stopped socializing (going to parties or meetings), I cut expenses, I started walking more to save on transportation, it was a very hard few months but the goal was achieved.
When I had the money I started looking for places to move, I was just looking for something that was comfortable, to have my room, kitchen and a studio part for my creative processes. And while I was looking for places I had my worst bad experience, and it was the first time that I suffered from xenophobia and they treated me so badly, as if I were a thief, a horrible moment that I wouldn't wish on anyone. But after that storm the sun came out and I found this place.
Honestly all you're going to see is a mess, mess, boxes, garbage bags, everything out of place because I just moved and I thought I could do everything in one day and I was wrong. In addition to the fact that one factor is that we have to do renovations, so that stopped me from organizing my things, I prefer to first repair everything that is broken. I am a person who likes to have everything organized and this was very frustrating, hahaha, I was already going crazy.
Hola a todos, quiero compartir con ustedes que me mudé, esta es como la quinta vez desde que estoy en este país. Así es la dura vida del migrante, primero por presupuesto y luego por comodidades... Mi caso fue más que todo el último porque quiero dedicarme a trabajar desde casa y para eso primero necesito tener un espacio adecuado, reuní durante varios meses y sacrifiqué muchas cosas. Dejé de socializar (ir a fiestas o reuniones), recorté gastos, empecé a caminar más para ahorrar en transporte, fueron unos meses muy duros pero se logró el objetivo.
Cuando ya tenía el dinero reunido empecé a buscar lugares para mudarme, solamente buscaba algo que fuera cómodo, tener mi habitación, cocina y una parte de estudio para mis procesos creativos. Y mientras buscaba lugares tuve mi peor mala experiencia, y es que fue primera vez que sufrí de xenofobia y me trataron tan mal, como si yo fuera una ladrona, horrible momento que no se lo deseo a nadie. Pero después de esa tormenta salió el sol y encontré este lugar.
Honestamente todo lo que van a ver es un desorden, desastre, cajas, bolsas de basura, todo fuera de lugar porque recién me mudé y pensé que podía hacer todo en un solo día y me equivoqué. Además de que un factor es que hay que hacer remodelaciones, así que eso me detuvo de ordenar mis cosas, prefiero primero reparar todo lo que falta. Yo soy una persona que le gusta tener todo ordenado y esto fue muy frustrante, jajajaja, ya me estaba volviendo loca.
I want to tell you that honestly I had almost no things, so in those savings I included the purchase of appliances that arrived days before my move, so I left them in the living room. After I moved in, everything was left messy in the living room and little by little I was collecting my trash, and now my living room was empty, hehe, because I still don't have furniture and I don't have the budget to buy it either, so several months will calmly pass. Before seeing this place full, I'm going little by little.
Quiero decirles que honestamente yo no tenía casi cosas, así que en esos ahorros incluí la compra de electrodomésticos que llegaron días antes de mi mudanza, así que los dejé en la sala. Luego de que me mudé todo se quedó desordenado en la sala y poco a poco fui recogiendo mi basura, y ahora mi sala quedó vacía, jiji, porque aún no tengo muebles y tampoco tengo el presupuesto para comprarlos, así que con calma pasarán varios meses antes de ver este lugar lleno, voy poco a poco.
I also bought a little plant that I hope doesn't die, I would like to place several plants in my new home.
También compré una plantita que espero no muera, me gustaría colocar varias plantas en mi nuevo hogar.
I also have a kitchen that is under repair, everything here was bad and I thought they were going to repair it before I moved in but it was not possible in the estimated time. This really stops me from organizing things in this place because they had to remove the shelves and all the drawers that are not there yet... and they only left me with a hidden cupboard style space.
También tengo una cocina que está en reparación, aquí todo estaba mal y pensé que lo iban a reparar antes de mudarme pero no fue posible en el tiempo estimado. Esto me frena mucho de ordenar las cosas de este lugar porque tuvieron que quitar las repisas y todas las gavetas que hasta ahora aún no están... y solo me dejaron con un espacio del estilo de una alacena escondida.
This room here will be like my little studio. During the move they moved all my things and my paintings were a mess, I placed the things on my desk to check what I can save and organize. This was the first thing I wanted to review but then I realized I had other priorities but I'm desperate for some time to fix this.
Btw, I'm writing this post from my job because obviously I would use this time to organize my things and not be writing, hahaha. But since I have downtime at work, I use it to do something good with it, like writing something for hive.
Este cuarto de aquí será como mi pequeño estudio. En la mudanza movieron todas mis cosas y mis pinturas quedaron hechas un desastre, coloqué las cosas encima de mi escritorio para chequear que puedo salvar y ordenar. Esto era lo primero que quería revisar pero después entendí que tenía otras prioridades pero estoy desesperada por un poco de tiempo para arreglar esto.
Btw, estoy escribiendo este post desde mi trabajo porque obviamente usaría este tiempo para acomodar mis cosas y no estar redactando, jajaja. Pero como en mi trabajo tengo horas muertas, las uso para hacer algo bueno con eso, como redactar algo para hive.
I also have a laundry room, taking advantage of the fact that I bought a washing machine that also acts as a dryer. It is the best investment I have ever made because I suffered a lot when I washed clothes and they did not dry in this cold and humid climate :(. I also used that space to free myself from things that have no place, like a storage room.
También tengo un cuarto de lavado, aprovechando que me compré una lavadora que también hace la función de secadora. Es la mejor inversión que he hecho porque yo sufría mucho cuando lavaba la ropa y no se secaba en este clima frío y húmedo :(. También destiné ese espacio para liberarme de cosas que no tienen lugar, como un almacén.
Lastly, my room, I saw some packaging techniques on the internet and I did it myself, hahaha. I was cutting costs since moving services vary costs if you include packing and more...
Por último mi habitación, vi unas técnicas en internet de embalaje y lo hice yo misma, jajaja. Estaba recortando costos ya que los servicios de mudanzas varían los costos si incluye el embalaje y más cosas...
Now at this point I want to tell you that my apartment is no longer so messy, all this was in the process and for me it is the first time that I have had a space in chaos, it was very frustrating, for the order freaks, I hope you have suffered with me watching all this chaos.
Ahora llegados a este punto quiero decirles que mi departamento ya no se encuentra tan desordenado, todo esto fue en el proceso y para mí es primera vez que tengo un espacio en caos, fue muy frustrante, para los maniáticos del orden, espero que hayan sufrido conmigo viendo todo este caos.

Hope you could stay here for a longer period of time than expected. House looks spacious. Using easy techniques watching YouTube video is really economical and appreciable.

I understand moving is some sort of stress on its own. From looking for a comfy apartment, to packing and unpacking. . Mannnn.
