Desde hace mucho tiempo, suelo escribir textos breves (es el carácter de mi escritura) de intención poética al modo de anotaciones o apuntes del curso de los días, influenciado por el querido poeta venezolano Rafael Cadenas. Aquí comienzo a publicar una serie reciente.

For a long time, I have been writing short texts (it is the character of my writing) of poetic intention in the form of annotations or notes of the course of the days, influenced by the beloved Venezuelan poet Rafael Cadenas. Here I begin to publish a recent series.
Una llovizna constante preside estos días,
de noches dilatadas y tenues.
El viento bate las ventanas.
Anuncia que vive, que está aquí.
No lo puedo enmudecer.
Es la confirmación de este hoy,
alargado en mi alma noctívaga.
Un perro ladra en la distancia.
¿Habrá algo más en la solitaria noche?
Su ladrido deja un espacio
como un silencio primitivo,
en el que soy una interrogación
sin respuesta, una pausa.
A constant drizzle presides over these days,
of dilated and faint nights.
The wind beats the windows.
It announces that it lives, that it is here.
I cannot mute it.
It is the confirmation of this today,
elongated in my nocturnal soul.
A dog barks in the distance.
Will there be something else in the lonely night?
Its bark leaves a space
like a primitive silence
in which I am a question mark
unanswered, a pause.
