Y no te voy a olvidar (ejercicio poético en dolor mayor) (Esp | Eng)

Hace hoy siete días falleció quien fuera casi mi sobrino, un niño aún (a los 18 años), producto de esos males que injustamente se apoderan de los cuerpos y terminan venciendo. Escribí este ejercicio aprovechando la frase propuesta por Club de Poesía (ver aquí), lo que me ayudó a drenar mi dolor y tristeza.

Seven days ago today, my almost nephew passed away, still a child (at the age of 18), a product of those evils that unjustly take over the body and end up winning. I wrote this exercise taking advantage of the phrase proposed by Club de Poesía (see here), which helped me to drain my pain and sadness.

Te recuerdo atrapando estrellas
en el mar de tu niñez,
tiñéndote de sol,
haciéndote de arena
como un muñeco egipcio...
Y no te voy a olvidar.

Te rememoro saltarín y juguetón,
sin importar discreciones
o ebriedades del momento,
como si el mundo fuera un campo
de fútbol o un circo la vida...
Y no te voy a olvidar.

Te evoco con tu lengua de trapo
y la inocencia vivaz
de tus ojos y tu sonrisa.
Hubiese querido otro destino,
la luz de la vida llegando a tu cuerpo.

I remember you catching stars
in the sea of your childhood,
dyeing you with the sun,
making you of sand
like an Egyptian doll...
and I will not forget you.

I remember you bouncy and playful,
regardless of discretions
or drunkenness of the moment,
as if the world were a football field
soccer field or a circus of life...
and I will not forget you.

I evoke you with your ragged tongue
and the lively innocence
of your eyes and your smile.
I would have wanted another destiny,
the light of life coming into your body.
