I wanted to share a little bit about what I’ve been going through lately, since I practically disappeared from here this past weekend.

My mother suffered a stroke that affected mobility on one side of her body, and I’ve been with her almost constantly ever since. These have been very long days with very little sleep and a lot to do: buying medication, taking her for lab tests, getting everything the doctors request, and staying on top of every detail.

The doctors told us she’ll have to stay hospitalized for at least another week while they finish all the check-ups and evaluations. Right now, my greatest wish is for her to regain her mobility and gradually get back to being well.

My sister is in another country, so I’ve had to take care of my mother practically on my own. I even had to quit my job because I can’t leave her unattended right now. She can’t move around on her own and needs someone to look after her.

It’s been truly exhausting. I hardly have time to eat properly or sleep. Today, I even had to come home for a moment to shower, leave food for my cats, and tend to them—even just a little—because I miss them too, and I don’t want them to go without anything. 🐈‍⬛❤️

This morning, I had a bit of a breakdown. I felt very alone, because handling all of this with practically no help isn't easy. But then I remembered something: my mother made me strong.

She has given everything for me my whole life, and now I feel it’s my turn to give her everything I can. It doesn’t matter how tired I am, how little I sleep, or how difficult these days get. I do it with love, because she’s my mother and because I want to be by her side right now.

I don’t know how long this process will take or what the coming weeks will look like, but here I am, doing what I can, one day at a time. I just wanted to share a little about my current situation and thank you for reading. And if you can, I’m asking for something very simple but very important to me: please keep my mother in your prayers. 🙏❤️

I hope to be back here soon with better news.

Wishing your mother and you all the best! It's a hard time caring for your mother after such a harrowing event, but you also need to take time to care for yourself! Just take everything sloth and steady!

Thanks for the good wishes; I know I need to rest, but I hardly have any time.
