Mi experiencia como actor de videos cortos (Esp-Eng)

Hace unos días mi esposa me llamó, para decirme que una amiga en común que tenemos y es influencer en la ciudad donde vivimos, le había escrito para saber si yo estaba dispuesto a participar en un vídeo de reflexión como actor. Debo confesar que cuando mi esposa me dijo esto me dió algo de gracia.

Al llegar a casa ella me explicó y como ya he visto este tipo de videos de esa amiga y de otros muchachos de la zona, no lo ví tan complicado. Acepté y me enviaron la información de lo que iba a hacer y del tipo de vestimenta que debía llevar el día de la grabación. Grabación a la cual me acompañó mi esposa, ella estaba emocionada realmente por esto.

A few days ago my wife called me to tell me that a mutual friend of ours, who is an influencer in the city where we live, had written to her to see if I would be willing to participate in a reflection video as an actor. I must confess that when my wife told me this I was somewhat amused.

When I got home she explained it to me and as I had already seen this kind of videos from that friend and other guys in the area, I didn't see it as complicated. I accepted and they sent me the information about what I was going to do and the type of clothes I had to wear on the day of the recording. My wife accompanied me to the filming, she was really excited about it.

Para mí fue una experiencia nueva, el día de la grabación al principio me sentía muy nervioso. Pienso que el actuar lleva práctica y estudio, cosa que yo no tengo. Todo hay que ponerlo en práctica ya que cada actitud y gesto cuenta para hacer referencia a la escena que se quiere plasmar.

Mi experiencia fue satisfactoria ya que para ser nuevo, me tomaron en cuenta y tuvieron mucha paciencia los chicos que grababan y armaron el guión. Yo puse mi mejor esfuerzo y empeño a pesar de nunca haber estudiado actuación y solo haber participado dos teatros en mi juventud.

For me it was a new experience, the day of the recording at the beginning I was very nervous. I think acting takes practice and study, which I don't have. Everything has to be put into practice because every attitude and gesture counts to make reference to the scene you want to portray.

My experience was satisfactory because for a newcomer, I was taken into account and the guys who recorded and put together the script were very patient. I did my best despite never having studied acting and only having participated in two theatres in my youth.

Me tocó hacer el papel de un papá muy humilde, que dejaba de comer y sus necesidades a un lado por su hija, pero a pesar de ser humildes le enseñó un gran valor a su hija. La niña que actuó conmigo también era su primera participación y aunque a ella le costó un poco más, hizo un excelente trabajo y yo realmente la felicité por ello. Nosotros no nos conocíamos así que eso también hacia un poco difícil algunas escenas.

I got to play the role of a very humble father, who left his food and his needs aside for his daughter, but despite being humble he taught his daughter great value. The girl who acted with me was also her first participation and although it was a bit more difficult for her, she did an excellent job and I really congratulated her for it. We didn't know each other so that also made some scenes a bit difficult.

La grabación de este video duró más de tres horas. La niña tuvo más diálogo, así que puso bastante de su parte. Yo por otro lado siempre estuve nervioso, aunque a medida de que iba grabando me sentía más cómodo, nunca deje de sentir nervios, ya que es algo nuevo.

Cabe destacar que los chicos de la producción se portaron muy bien, nos dieron el guión, lo que íbamos a hacer, decir, cómo hacerlo. Ellos son nuevos en esto, les falta ajustar algunos detalles, pero van aprendiendo y su idea es transmitir mensajes que aporten valores a la sociedad. Mi esposa estuvo tomando las fotografías de tras cámara, tomaron varios ángulos de vídeo, así que el editor de este video tuvo bastante trabajo que hacer.

The recording of this video lasted more than three hours. The girl had more dialogue, so she put a lot of herself into it. I, on the other hand, was always nervous, although as I was filming I felt more comfortable, I never stopped feeling nervous, as it was something new.

It's worth mentioning that the production guys were very good, they gave us the script, what we were going to do, say, how to do it. They are new to this, they still have to adjust some details, but they are learning and their idea is to transmit messages that bring values to society. My wife was taking the pictures behind the camera, they took several video angles, so the editor of this video had a lot of work to do.
