OPENING OF BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026

Good day hivers !
Classes for school year 2026-2027 is nearly approaching. We got one week preparation before the start of classes . The long vacation has come to an end and start the new chapter of challenges for the new school year. Back to the real world as educator.

There are lot of tasks to do in school like, repairing of damage chairs , repainting , cleaning the classrooms and surroundings, etcetera . This is just voluntary and commitment for every teacher to cooperate this school activity, specially the advisers . As adviser like me, there are so many tasks to do like , classroom preparation. Disposing all papers not in used , cleaning up everything , preparing the master list of advisory class, etc.

Repairing of damaged chairs , there are no other persons who can do the this but the adviser . Other advisers are paying labor for repainting and repairs .
Talking of repair and repainting , it needs budget . So the adviser must get the money in own wallet just to accomplish the task.

As we started the BRIGADA Eskwela, there was a formal opening program . Some stake holders were invited such as parents , Barangay officials and police forces . Not all teachers did come during the opening. Others are still on vacation from different provinces . Those who came during the opening , they are called committed teachers . Commitment tarpaulin was signed by those who are willing to help the bayanihan.

My tasks on that day , was multitasking . While the enrollment was still going on, I need to entertain parents and students who were giving their report card, asking their section and classroom. Before I get their card , I let them do the Brigada . They need to help in cleaning the classroom for it was full of dust . Chairs, floor and windows need cleaning . Cleaning in classroom alone , could not be accomplished in 1 day . I am happy that there are some students now under my advisory who are diligent. Hoping there are many of them and this is happiness of advisers to have these kind of students who are wiling to help unconditionally.

Teachers were deployed by the principal to clean the area being assigned. So ,after the opening program, we proceed to the assigned area bringing the cleaning materials . It was enjoyable to work with colleagues. We were joking and laughing while doing the task.
