Our Pilgrimage Journey to the Eight Different Churches in Cebu Province , Philippines to Reflect Our Sins Whom Our Lord has had Offered his Life for Us to Redeemed Our Sins .

Hello bayaniHivers have a holy week days ! How you are doing this holy week ? Hope you are doing okey to meditate with your family .
As part of our religious activity in this holy week, here we gathered with the co-workers from different department to do the pilgrimage to the 8 well known churches in Cebu Province , namely :

1. Saint Joseph Parish Church in Mandaue City
2. Cebu City Cathedral Church
3. Sto. Niño Parish Church in Cebu City
   4)San Pedro Calungsod Church , Cebu City
4. Saint Rita of Cascia-Mohon , Talisay,Cebu City
5. Naga City Church
6. San Fernando Church,Cebu
7. Virgin of Simala , the Holy Church in Cebu,and the most visited church by tourists especially during the birth of Virgin Mary every 8th of September.

Holy week- this is the time to reflect our ourselves for all our wrong doings . The time to reconcile to God and renew ourselves and be close to our Lord . Once we have a close relationship to God , all good fortunes will come especially the blessings of good health , good fortune to the business and financial blessings will coming . God is the source of all blessings that we have . Serving the Lord could make us rich spiritually and have eternal life as God promise to us .

In Philippines, thousands of pilgrims especially catholics were going to church . Most of Filipinos were doing confession as it is one way to reconcile to our Lord . As we can say, no perfect persons living on earth. Every man commits sins , in thought , in words , and in deeds and the sins of not doing the right way . Being humble to ourself and ask for God's forgiveness is the gate to aquire that eternal life that God has promised .

For me , reflecting on holy week needs sacrifices . Others were offering themselves to be beaten and then want to be crucified which are the practice by some persons here in the Philippines . Others were walking with their knees towards the altar just to ask for God forgiveness . Fasting are also religious act done by Christians just to renew oneself.

Holy week in the Philippines I would say as it is one of the most solemn religious activities of the country . It commemorates the passion , death and resurrection of Jesus Christ .

As we walked to the different churches , we felt that the spirit of our Lord was present. God knows what is in our heart and mind and our good intentions to be close to Him.

The journey of our pilgrimage reflects us the importance of having God in our life. As the Lord says , " come to me and I will guide you the right way" . God is our way and our light .
