Can hive make you financially free?

About 90% of hive users joined the blockchain because they wanted something that would give them money. I remember when @snowflakesduke talked to me about hive. The first thing i asked him was if I would make money. Well, he did say yes but I wasn't convinced. I went on to ask @attentionneeded who then explained to me that I could make money depending on my seriousness on the hive blockchain.

I am sure the same question I asked at first, a lot of persons asked same too. So the big question everyone will ask me now is that ever since I joined hive, have I become financially free? I won't say I have achieved that level of financial freedom that I want. But I can boldly say that some financial needs have been sorted out by the money I have realized here. I have been able to buy some basic things for myself and that's a good one for me.

Financial freedom for me is having to get whatever you want, whenever you want them and however you want them without blinking an eye. So if you can pay your bills when they come, go on that vacation that you want, buy those clothes and eat whatever you want at anytime, without thinking of you debit alerts, then that's financial freedom for me.

If you have the power over the way you spend your money, then it means that you have 100% control of your expenses. This is what I call financial freedom. And becoming financially free requires a lot of sacrifices and self-control. You cannot go about spending your money without thinking of saving some for the future. That's not a wise decision to make.

So can hive give you financial freedom? Yes it can. I have tasted from the river of hive like I always call it. Someone asked me if my data is working for me some years ago. I didn't know what that meant but I think that if that person asks me the same question right now, I would gladly say yes. Yes because hive have given me financial freedom.

Hive is a flexible blockchain that gives you the opportunity to save. With the 20% interest attached to savings, even if you decide not to use your hbd, you can even decide to be using your accumulated interest for whatever expenses you want. I love hive because everywhere you touch is money.

@Attentionneeded was talking to me about this some days ago and he pointed out that even if I decide not to post articles, I can still earn by just up voting too. How about delegation? That's a cool way to earn too. So for some very busy people who barely have time to be here every now or then, they can just delegate and relax. This is what I call the soft life.

Hive is a wonderful place to achieve that financial freedom you desire. Just be focused, consistent and have a goal. Note that the blockchain is not a get rich quick scheme. This is what a lot of newbies think and that's why they get discouraged when they don't get what they expect. Life itself is a process. Just take it a step at a time.
