My baby's Christening
I took my baby to church for the first time and it was an amazing event. My baby's christening was something my husband and I had planned for a very long time to be a simple one. Anyone who knows me too well will know that I love to do simple things. That is one thing I took from my mother. She loves to live a very private life and if you are not close to her, you would hardly know what is going on around her.
Well, when I and my husband started off with the planning, I gave him a million and one reasons why we had to make it very simple. We have other plans to execute and this was just one of them amongst many so it was a wise decision not to spend so much on it. He agreed and we started making preparations. We had set aside a particular budget for the occasion and told ourselves that we wouldn't spend more than we had budgeted.
Our plans were going on well at first until we discovered that everything had gone up. Well, my husband will always say that the most important thing is to have money at hand. To that, we thank God for His provision. We bought everything we needed and at the end of the day, our budget wasn't even enough.

The day was here and we were so shocked at the crowd that came? Who invited this people? I was scared that the food wasn't going to be enough and yes I was right. We had to order for more drinks on the spot. Some friends even came along with some drinks too. A lot of persons I hadn't seen for ages attended the event and i must say that it was a wonderful occasion.
My baby was scared of me. She refused to latch and I didn't even realize that it was my makeup. And there was no way I would have taken it off at that point. Luckily, she had eaten severally before the makeup was done so I was okay with that. I think kids are just very funny. I found myself begging her to let me just slay. I needed to look super beautiful at least for her. Well, my hubby and mother eventually carried her in church.
After church, the main event started. The place was filled up. Prior to the event day, it rained heavily. I was so scared that it was going to rain again but God held the rain for us. My relatives from far and near attended. People I hadn't seen attended and it felt like a reunion for me. My baby had lots of gifts ranging from clothes, toys and nappies. She had some cash gifts too which hubby and I decided to save it for her. We opened an account for her with it and will help her keep the cash and more that will come till she is 18 years of age.
The day ended so well. The party lasted till night. After the last person had gone, I just quickly had a shower and landed on the bed. I had a terrible headache too. I soon realized in the morning that the caterers hoarded some drinks and food. I was so mad because we had to spend more than we even budgeted. Some friends had to send me a message the next day of how they angrily left the event because they were served food without meat. I had to apologise to them and promised to make it up to them.
I guess things like this are usually expected at events. My happiness is that the event was successful and everyone who attended went home safely.

You two look beautiful, thank God for successful event o, is not easy to plan and execute big event as much but God did it. Any event that has item 7 on the list will always pull lots of crowd. Hahaha
It is not easy my dear. We thank God for everything

What a previous occasion. I love your matching dresses! You both look so beautiful. I’m glad the event was still a success even with some of the frustration you went through.
When my sons were younger they used to look at me so crazy when I dazzled up my face with makeup. They were so used to me being home in my lounging clothes and natural face that it was a bit of a shock to them lol. 🤭
What a special celebration for everyone, the baptism of a baby. You both looked great, green is definitely a good color for you.
