Every country is unique in their own way. It could be because of either her region, culture, tradition or behavioural pattern of her citizens. I am a Nigerian and I love my country so much. Nigeria is a country in West Africa with over 20million people of different ethnicity. Despite having over 500 languages she is unique because we all believe in one thing and that is the fact that we believe in ourselves. We are naturally survivors. That is why no matter the situation, a Nigerian will find a way to survive no matter how bad the condition is. We love to see hope in everything that comes our way. That's why we love to party every time. A typical Nigerian enjoys himself at every slightest opportunity. We love to eat and be merry when there is something new around us. Such as birthdays, child dedication and even burials. We must find a way to fix in jollification and that's one thing I am proud of as a Nigerian. We don't let bad things bother us for so long. Even if we get to witness a NAD thing, we must look for a joke that surrounds it just to ourselves happy. That's why we say that "Nigerians are people that loves cruise".

Another thing I love about my country is the different rich cultures. Our culture is indeed our pride. As a lady from the igbo-speaking tribe, our culture is quite different from other tribes. Our food, traditions and dresses tells so much about us. Our festivals makes us unique too. In fact every single tribe in Nigeria is filled with so many traditions that will keep you wondering and amazed. For instance the kind of food we give visitors, trust me if you have a taste, you may likely not want to go back to where you are coming from. Our foods are naturally prepared such that it is healthy too.

My country is filled with lots of creative minds. Have you seen our art sector? Our entertainment sector has grown such that we are recognized all over the world. From arts, to entertainment, to music, to science and to literature, we are present in all of these sectors and we are very good at what we do too. Our music industry is extremely something to be proud of because we have produced artistes that are recognized all over the world such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tems, Ayrra Star, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and so on. If you come to our movie sector, Nollywood has gone beyond just movies meant for Nigerians alone. We are being represented fully in that area all over the world. We have produced very good original movies that are being played in festivals.

My country is filled with so many opportunities that I am already grabbing. When it comes to business, I find myself working so hard and using the plenty opportunities that presents itself here in my country. For instance, I am a business woman who sells items ranging from fashion to foodstuff. The government currently disbursed some amount of money for farmers which I luckily partook in. We were given some amount of money to help develop our businesses and will pay back after a year of starting. This programme has really helped me with my fish farming because I have grown from being just a rubber fish breeder to at least a sizable fish breeder which will be extended for economic use. There are so many trainings everywhere across the country on agricultural training which if one really wants to do well and develop themselves, it is 100% here. It is either you go for hands on training, or you go for virtual training. There are a thousand and one opportunities here to develop yourself in my country. We have schools, training centers, mentors and so on that will hold your hands to help you achieve whatever you want to achieve.

In as much as I love my country, if an opportunity presents itself for me to leave the country, I will do that. Reason being that my country even though it looks like it is developed, I don't think it is 100% developed. We still struggle to get the basic amenities such as good roads, electricity, water supply, and good education. Whereas in some countries, these things are sorted out. My reason for wanting to leave for another country is majorly to experience life outside my country, look for greener pastures and mix with other people of different race too. I have an intention of contributing so much in my country in the future but how can I do that when I haven't left the shores of my country to see how organized other countries are? At least when I experience what makes another country better than mine, I can now come back home and do what I have to do to make it better like I have experienced over there.

Home is home, no matter where you go. Every country is special and has a particular ingredient that makes it beautiful. Be proud of your country and do your part to make your country great.

Thank you for reading.

Nollywood has gone beyond just movies meant for Nigerians alone.

True o, i began detesting Bollywood when they losing their taste and started bringing on bad actor and actress with fine faces, but it seems there are few of them that have moved beyond that and are really trying now.

You are very lucky to have received money from the government for your personal business, hopefully it will expand soon. I know that the government do this exercise once in a while and that's another good side of the country. Nigerians got talented people who represents us well in different industries. Our culture and other opportunities are what makes the country great. I love your mindset about leaving to other country to learn on how things works out fine there and then return to your country to contribute your part. This shows that you have the interest of your country at heart... 👍
