Packaging gone wrong

What my eyes saw recently, it's so unbelievable. First of all, I love to make genuine friends. What this means is that I love people who are sincere and humble despite whatever position they hold. I like to be on the same page with people, not minding the age difference or social status.

On social media (Instagram), there is this girl that follows me and vice versa. I can't recall who first followed who but I know that whenever I go through my timeline and find her, I always drop comments and likes and she does same to my posts too. She is curvy and has a very beautiful face. Everything about her figure is quite attractive I really must say. I don't know what she uses but her face is always smooth. At least from her videos, I see the spotless face.

I recently went to the hospital for my daughter's vaccination. We were seated at the reception waiting for our turn. Guess who I sighted? Yes her.. At first I wasn't sure if she was the same person. But I remember she usually puts her location as port Harcourt. Ladies and gentlemen, what I saw with my own eyes and what I have been seeing on social media can't be compared. Where did all of those curves go? She wasn't looking half of what I usually see online.
I didn't want her to see me because I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. I felt she would be embarrassed at first. But somehow after much thinking, I walked up to her and introduced myself. She denied knowing me and I politely apologized for coming to her and went back to my seat. I went back to Instagram and checked again and I was so sure she was the one. I took a picture of her secretly because I wanted someone else to confirm for me.

When I got home, I showed my husband the picture and he confirmed she was the one. We both went back to her page and she had uploaded a picture of herself wearing the same outfit she wore to the hospital but I could see the curves and the fine face this time. It then dawned on me that she has been editing her pictures all these while. I was pained because all these while, I was admiring her. I have been deceived indeed. This social media you need to really be ready for plenty of surprises.

I have been visiting her page often to check again just to be sure I am not dreaming. Wow, people can package. This one is international packaging and I doff my cap for her honestly. To think that she denied me completely is just what I can't wrap my head around. Someone that always comments on my photos and vice versa suddenly denied me. I guess she wasn't expecting to see someone who knows her there. Hence the reason why she didn't package. Who wants to package to the hospital by the way. Will sickness allow you to even makeup? I wonder if there is anyone who does that. Well apart from the Kardashians who are always looking sweet no matter the circumstance, I can't tell of anyone. I remember when Khloe Kardashian was about to give birth and she had her makeup and nails done. You will say that she did it for the camera right? Especially because it is a realty show which is an exception.

Anyway I am right here telling myself that henceforth, I will no longer believe what I see on social media. The pretence is too much. But to what end if I may ask?
