Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet amantes de lo espiritual y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, ya he visto y reseñado varias producciones coreanas puesto que presentan historias interesantes, es por ello que hoy nos reúne el filme "Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds" que plantea de forma interesante la vida después de la muerte según las creencias religiosas asiáticas. Sin más que agregar prepárense que el viaje por el inframundo está por comenzar.

Es una historia de fantasía y drama, se enfoca a Ja-hong un joven bombero quien trágicamente muere durante un llamado de emergencia, resulta que este tuvo una vida ejemplar por lo que sus guías espirituales lo llevaran a visitar los 7 infiernos para ser juzgado por todo los pecados que cometió en vida, de esta forma se determinara si es digno para reencarnar o si merece un castigo, la cosa es que nada es blanco y negro por lo que muchas de sus acciones serán evaluadas debido a que todo tiene siempre más de una perspectiva, esto conllevará a un sin número de situaciones peligrosas en donde su moral será puesta a prueba; siendo que el recién fallecido solo piensa en las cosas que no pudo hacer y en su deseo de ver a su madre de nuevo.

La construcción de mundo es completamente agradable, existe un nivel de detalle de la ambientación sumamente hermoso, en todo momento se va desarrollando de forma agradable el contexto en el cual se desenvuelven los acontecimientos; todo esto da como resultado una ambientación muy bonita en el apartado de los fondos que son completamente cautivadores e hipnotizantes. Los efectos también se encuentran sumamente bien logrados, son muy vistosos y agradables: Desde las espadas hasta los diferentes espíritus que hacen aparición se encuentran todos con un nivel de detalle muy maravilloso.

It also makes use of one or another plot twist, some are fine and others not so much, those who are not well achieved try to generate tension but the truth is that they fail clumsily and it is noted that they are extremely forced and boring. Last but not least are those moments of action that it presents, I like that these are not focused too much since it would take away that reflective air that the film tries to build. In general, the narrative can become tedious since everything always leads to questioning the actions committed, evaluating and judging, so it can become quite boring because everything is reduced to recapitulating the life of the protagonist without there really being a catharsis; While it invites self-evaluation, it is not enough to keep the viewer hooked without boring them.
La trama es muy dramática, desde el vamos se deja claro que siempre se manejara un nivel dramático bastante alto, la narrativa de la película gira en torno a como Ja-hong se preocupa por sus seres queridos pese a haber fallecido, esto le da plausibilidad debido a que es lógico preocuparse por aquellos seres que dependían de él. También se hace uso de uno que otro giro argumental, algunos están bien y otros no tanto, los que no están bien logrados intentan generar tensión pero la verdad es que fracasan torpemente y se nota que son extremadamente forzados y aburridos. Por último aunque no menos importante están esos momentos de acción que presenta, me gusta que estos no sean enfocados demasiado puesto que le quitaría ese aire reflexivo que se intenta construir el filme. En general la narrativa se puede tornar tediosa puesto que realmente todo siempre deriva en cuestionarse las acciones cometidas, evaluando y juzgando, por lo que se puede volver bastante aburrido debido a que todo se reduce a recapitular la vida del protagonista sin que exista realmente una catarsis; si bien invita a la auto evaluación no es lo suficiente como para mantener enganchado al espectador sin aburrirlo.

Unfortunately this is only the protagonist who is remarkable, the guardians are flat, they are supposed to have their own objectives but these are banal and / or lacking in depth, so they end up being secondary characters when they are not supposed to be. Almost in the same way the same thing is experienced with the mother and brother of the protagonist, the mother is an important focus although it feels more like an element that advances the plot than as a relevant character; something similar happens with Ja-hong's brother, he is slightly more plausible than the mother, however he still lacks to be a moderately decent character.
Solo destacaré al protagonista puesto que es el único que realmente se le da cierta caracterización, este es al que se le cuestionan sus acciones y decisiones, esto es interesante puesto que constantemente gracias a este se da pie al hecho de ver las cosas en una escala de grises y no en blanco y negro, el problema con esto es que todo ese enfoque se desaprovecha al no darle un verdadero cambio al personaje o un momento de reflexión sobre su vida. Desgraciadamente este es solo el protagonista el que es destacable, los guardianes son planos, se supone que tienen objetivos propios pero estos son banales y/o carentes de profundidad, por lo que terminan siendo personajes secundarios cuando se supone que no deberían serlo. Casi de igual forma se experimenta lo mismo con la madre y el hermano del protagonista, la mamá es un foco importante aunque se siente más como un elemento que hace avanzar la trama que como un personaje relevante; algo similar sucede con el hermano de Ja-hong, es ligeramente más plausible que la madre, sin embargo aún le falta para ser un personaje medianamente decente.
Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds is an interesting film for the concept of life after death, however it has as many good things as bad, being that its drama can easily be boring since although it deals with an interesting topic this is work slowly so I am sure that it is not something that everyone can enjoy. All of the above leads to it deserving a rating of 3 stars out of 7, a film that can be enjoyed if the viewer wants to see something with large amounts of drama.
Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds es una película interesante por el concepto de la vida después de la muerte, sin embargo tiene tantas cosas buenas como malas, siendo que su drama puede fácilmente resultar aburrido puesto que si bien trata un tema interesante este es trabajo de forma lenta por lo que estoy seguro de que no es algo que todo el mundo pueda disfrutar. Todo lo anterior conlleva a que merezca una calificación de 3 estrellas de 7, una cinta que puede ser disfrutable si el espectador tiene ganas de ver algo con grandes cantidades de drama.

El cine coreano tiene una buena cantidad de filmes interesantes. Había una obra que recuerdo un poco, en que se trataba de los viajes en el tiempo y la segunda guerra mundial, y los giros que tenía la obra eran muy entretenidos. Hacen buenos trabajos.
No recuerdo tampoco el nombre pero creo recordar haber visto una reseña de algo con esas características, espero saberlo pronto para poder verla, suena interesante; con respecto a tu comentario, he de admitir que la calidad que tienen en cuanto a efectos especiales y maquillaje es maravilloso.
