[ENG-SPN] Egypt: the last frontier / Egipto: la última frontera

Museums in general and archaeological museums in particular, are, metaphorically and comparatively speaking, the closest thing, in my opinion, to that fabulous time machine, dreamed of, among others, by precursors like H.G. Wells, who invite us, through from the respectful passage through its infinite halls, to getting involved, with greater or lesser intensity, in that great adventure of humanity, which is, of course, its own History.

For its uniqueness, for its beauty, for its exoticism and above all, for that emotional force, whose passionate mystery releases the endorphins of expectation in abundance, perhaps it is, deep down, the culture of the old and legendary Egypt, which inoculates with greater intensity the virus of curiosity, making us think that, after all, his life was not, but a continuous preparation for survival behind that dark frontier that terrifies us all: Death.

Los museos en general y los arqueológicos, en particular, son, metafórica y comparativamente hablando, lo más parecido, en mi opinión, a esa fabulosa máquina del tiempo, soñada, entre otros, por precursores como H.G.Wells, que nos invitan, a través del paso respetuoso por sus infinitos salones, a involucrarnos, con mayor o menor intensidad, en esa gran aventura de la humanidad, que es, desde luego, su propia Historia.

Por su singularidad, por su belleza, por su exotismo y sobre todo, por esa fuerza emotiva, cuyo pasional misterio libera a raudales las endorfinas de la expectación, quizás sea, en el fondo, la cultura del viejo y legendario Egipto, la que nos inocule con mayor intensidad el virus de la curiosidad, haciéndonos pensar, que, al fin y al cabo, su vida no era, si no, una continúa preparación para la supervivencia detrás de esa oscura frontera que a todos nos aterra: la Muerte.
