[ENG-SPN] The village / El pueblo

Stepping on the streets of the old town again, can be as intense and transcendent experience, as that other one that the violent Paul experienced, on the way to Damascus, when he converted to Christianity as a result of a mysterious light that an infinitesimal minute before, dazzled him and fell off the horse. No one better than the one who returns many years after his departure, can better understand the sensations experienced by the tired Ulysses, when, after a life of fatality and adventure, he kissed again, with the emotion of a small child, the sacred ground of his much loved Ithaca.

People, in one way or another, always end up on the road and sometimes, unfortunately, some end up getting lost forever in the dark labyrinths of memory, where there is also a metaphorical Stygian lagoon, called oblivion. But the village don't. The village, is that second mother that is carried deeply in the heart and who, no matter how far away you are, always loves, longs for and wants to hug again.

Volver a pisar las calles del viejo pueblo, puede resultar una experiencia tan intensa y trascendente, como aquella otra que experimentó el violento Pablo, camino de Damasco, cuando se convirtió al Cristianismo a consecuencia de una misteriosa luz que un infinitesimal minuto antes, le deslumbró y le derribó del caballo. Nadie mejor que el que regresa, al cabo de muchos años de su partida, puede entender mejor las sensaciones que experimentó el cansado Ulises, cuando, después de una vida de fatalidad y aventura, volvió a besar, con la emoción de un niño chico, el suelo sagrado de su muy amada Ítaca.

Las personas, de una u otra manera, van quedando siempre en el camino y a veces, algunas, desgraciadamente, terminan perdiéndose definitivamente en los oscuros laberintos de la memoria, donde también existe una metafórica laguna estigia, que se llama olvido. Pero el pueblo no. El pueblo, es esa segunda madre que se lleva profundamente en el corazón y a la que siempre, por muy lejos que te encuentres, se ama, se añora y se desea volver a abrazar.
