The juniper is one of those lucky trees that has always deserved special attention from men. In such a way that it should not surprise us that its presence, in the vast majority of European mythologies, is compensated by its solar association and also, most importantly for the case at hand today, by representing something so sacred and pleasant. as is hospitality, appearing, in addition to the famous story of 'Snow White', in other popular tales and legends, compiled centuries ago by the prolific Brothers Grimm.

There is a town, in that green and happy Soria, settled on the edge of a notable mountain range, which, in addition to having it in the name - Valdenebro or Valley of the Junipers - truly displays its name, well, apart from gratifying the traveler with the astonishing spectacle of its beautiful rural architecture, it also stands out for the open and hospitable character of its people, who, like in stories, see time pass with happy determination.

El enebro, es uno de esos árboles afortunados, que siempre ha merecido una atención especial por parte de los hombres. De tal manea, que no ha de extrañarnos que su presencia, en la gran mayoría de las mitologías europeas, se vea compensada por su asociación solar y también, lo más importante para el caso que nos ocupa hoy, por representar algo tan sagrado y grato como es la hospitalidad, apareciendo, además de en el famoso cuento de ‘Blancanieves’, en otros cuentos y leyendas populares, recopiladas, hace siglos, por los prolíficos Hermanos Grimm.

Hay un pueblo, en esa Soria verde y feliz, asentado a la vera de una notable serranía, que, además de llevarlo en el nombre -Valdenebro o Valle de los Enebros- hace verdadera gala a su nombre, pues, aparte de gratificar al viajero con el espectáculo asombroso de su hermosa arquitectura rural, destaca, también, por el carácter abierto y hospitalario de unas gentes, que, como en los cuentos, ven el tiempo pasar con una feliz determinación.
