[ENG-SPN] Urban mirages / Espejismos urbanos

The historical case of Madrid continues to be that hermetic labyrinth, metaphorically and comparatively speaking, in which each sunrise brings with it the eternal struggle between light and darkness, which on occasions, as in the present, is settled by the contrast that white marble, although it is not from Ferrara, from a luxurious hotel, whose name we will ignore, so as not to make gratuitous propaganda, which seems, at least, to the vision of the romantic, a mirage against which darkened streets collide, to which only the reinforcement of its rays, when the sun has reached its zenith and even so, it is not always capable of clarifying some dark corners.

El caso histórico de Madrid, continúa siendo ese hermético laberinto, metafórica y comparativamente hablando, en el que cada amanecer conlleva la sempiterna lucha entre luz y oscuridad, que en ocasiones, como en la presente, queda dirimida por el contraste que el mármol blanco, aunque no sea de Ferrara, de un lujoso hotel, cuyo nombre obviaremos, para no hacer propaganda gratuita, que parece, cuando menos, a la visión del romántico, un espejismo contra el que chocan unas callejas ensombrecidas a las que sólo llega el refuerzo de sus rayos, cuando el sol ha alcanzado su cénit y aún así, no siempre es capaz de aclarar algunos tenebrosos rincones.
