RE: On Climate Change and Resiliency

I was there in Tacloban after Yolanda with government agencies and non profits. It was really sad and gloomy. The stories were horrible and vulnerabilities were exposed quite vividly. Sadly, if these things are not addressed by our generation, there won't be anything left for the next one, save for a dystopian inspired new world. Climate change is real, there is no denying that now. The question that needs to be answered now is how to best address this. Sustainable design and regenerative architecture have been around for quite a while already, while advocates of green communities have been trying to raise awareness for decades already. Now, we have no choice but to do something. Otherwise, it will be the downfall of society and the destruction of our one and only planet.

We all knew what to be address, but it is easier said than done. Our solution to climate change situation often highlights on mitigation and minimization of carbon footprint. I think that we need a more holistic approach towards this issue.

Yes. It's really connected to the whole socio-economic and political institutions on both a micro and macro scale, so the approach should be all encompassing as well, and not just patch up work that addresses a specific area of concern. Thanks for the !PIZZA 😁😁😁
