Repairing of Our Mower Engine which has been kept for 3 months

Greetings @diyhub team. I've been absent from posting for the past one week now. I'm back again with some more stuff. Our school mover had stopped functioning for the past 3 months now. We were not getting a very qualified repairer to repair this mover for us. So we decided to leave it not until we get very qualified repairer. The engine were not able to work at all when we start it.

We heard about a certain repairer who is very good when it comes to repairing movers. We invited him to come to our school to help us get our Mover repaired. He arrived around 12 noon. By then we had pulled the mover out for him to repair it.

He began to lose all the bolts and knots from the head engine. He first checked the oil and the petrol if it's right for him to start the mover to see the exact place that it has damaged. There was no oil and fuel so we had to rush to filling station ⛽🚉 to get some. Soon we returned. The repairer poured oil and fuel to their right places and start the machine. Yet there was no sign of the machine starting. Actually there few breakages that had led the mover disjunction; the damaged of the down coil, pistons and rings as well as the plug was very weak since it's about time we changed it. The mover itself was a second hand goods that we bought, we couldn't afford to buy a brand new mower,so some of the things were very weak already weak. We couldn't change the oil in use frequently, that has also affected the machine in some way. Most of the strength of machines depends on the frequent changing of oil to help machine function well. The oil had to lubricate the engine parts like the tappers and pistons which move frequently when the machine is working.

The repair work begins

He has to wipe all the dirt on the surface of the engine head. The ignition sending power to the engine was very low. The starter too wasn't working properly. He has to disconnect the wire and fix with new wire by joining with the aid of his pair of his pliers and spanner. I don't actually know all the parts of mower, but common ones that I know; the safety shut - off lever and cord was repaired. I remember the air filter was removed and lost long a go so dust got access to enter the engine in the cause of mowing. The repairer made some improvised one to fix the lost one. However, the gas cap and the engine oil cap all were present. The axel and main wheel turns the tyre all were working perfectly. Within few minutes,he discovered the fault and worked on it. The machine is now able to start and cut grasses around. We are very excited 😊 since I last reported the students are supervised to do grounds work.

Tomorrow we have planned to use the mower to trim the grasses to the below the ground level but by this time we are conscious of maintaining it so that we don't damage it again. We would make sure to oil it frequently at least every 3 weeks to keep it very strong. We would also keep keen eye not to let the blade hit stones. Thanks for your attention!

Lubricating machine parts and proper maintenance is really important if we want our machines to last long. I hope you will keep it properly once repair is completed.
Thanks for sharing your post with us.
