Hybrid Mountain Memories
Greetings, artists from all worlds and all realities!
Here are some more creations inspired by memories of my time in the Caucasus and from the depths of my dreams!
The following images were made using photos I've taken in the caucasus, Leonardo.ai, my custom build of Disco Diffusion, photo-manipulation, photobashing and sketching through Gimp and Inkscape, and post editing/composition in darktable.
I decided to use pictures I've taken while traveling the Caucasus Mountains, in Georgia, as initial images for creations in Leonardo.ai, which resulted in very detailed and nice looking background mountains!
Experimenting with prompts and Leonardo.ai settings, I tried to find a good balance of keeping the way the mountains looked, the old cabins, but at the same time, adding a twist of Norse elements to it and (much) more snow that present initially.
Leonardo.ai has 2 tools that I consider “premium” at that point (I think you now have to pay for them, but it wasn't the case before) that give amazing result. First, the "Creative Upscale" option.
The other upscaling algorithms (Smooth, Alternate, or Sharp) give out great result too, but I have to say that the Creative one really tickles my fancy when it comes to adding “mood” to a creation.
Another great tool I've played with is the "Prompt Magic" option, that allows you to really tweak the contrast of your creation, but also a great prompt adherence algorithm.
The first results looked either too similar to my original pics and photomanipulations, or way too different. But I've figured that leaving the prompt magic settings between .55 and .65 gave out great results for snowy landscapes.
The only thing I'm aiming toward when I make all of these, is just to create a bunch of nice looking wallpaper to add to my computer or my friend's, but you can also find all of them on Deviant Art for free if you want to decorate your laptop!
