Movie Review: The Passion of the Christ
Passion of the Christ is a powerful Christian film that was directed by Mel Gibson. The film is about the last few hours of Jesus Christ's life, prior to His crucifixion. It emphasizes His suffering, sacrifice and tremendous love for humanity. Although the story is familiar to many from the Bible, this film does a wonderful job of conveying the reality and the emotion thereof.
The one thing I observed while watching this movie is how much Jesus' pain and sacrifice are portrayed in this movie. The acting is quite believable, and the emotions are real. The film makes viewers aware of the arduous path Jesus went through in preparation for His crucifixion on the cross. There were some scenes that were very emotional because they depicted the extent of His love and commitment to God's purpose.

The film's cinematography is another aspect that's good. Beautiful visuals, and costumes and locations bring the biblical setting to life. The cinematography and lighting sets the tone for the film as serious and respectful. I was able to see history happen before my eyes, from Biblical times.
The acting in the film is superb. The portrayal by the actor playing Jesus is excellent, and represents both strength and humility. The other cast members also do a pretty good job of what they're supposed to do and make this story believable and engaging. Their facial expressions and emotions bring dimension to the movie, and allow the viewer to relate to the characters.
What is striking is the emphasis of faith, forgiveness and sacrifice in the film. It is a reminder to viewers of the core message of Christianity and the need for love, mercy and redemption. I believe that many Christians will be inspired by the movie because it portrays an important facet of their faith in a very moving manner.
But it's not a easy viewing. Emotionally heavy and intense some scenes are, due to Jesus' suffering. These scenes are integral to the film, but some people may find them hard to watch. It is also one of the most serious films ever produced, featuring few light moments in what is a very serious film.
I also believe that the movie has been successful in getting viewers to think about what it means to sacrifice and believe. Religious or otherwise, the film asks viewers to ponder the key values of love, courage, forgiveness and compassion. It's a type of film that lingers in your mind long after.
The Passion of the Christ is a deeply moving (emotional) movie which tells one of the most important stories in Christianity. It sets up with great acting, stunning visuals and a profound message. It's an emotionally charged film that can be hard to watch, but it's still a memorable and impactful film. I think it's a decent movie to watch if you wish to learn more about Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.

una película que refleja muy bien lo descrito en la biblia, buen post
A movie that really well reflects what is described in the Bible; good post.
While I did think the movie was very daring and I appreciate the fact that Mel Gibson stuck it to the man and released this with his own money and won, I just thought it was OK. It's very graphic though, that is for sure.
