Golden Hour Snaps From the Car

Hi guys! It's another Wednesday Walk episode.

On Saturday, after all our businesses in Tagbilaran City, we were glad to be on the way back home early. It was four in the afternoon when we started moving from the city back to Guindulman. Our travel time usually is two hours and so while the car was moving, I was just adoring the view of the road.

The best thing about Bohol is that there isn't any traffic compared to Cebu City. My husband would often tell me that whenever we are on the road. We lived in Cebu City for more than ten years. We were collegemates since the first year of college and we graduated together in 2009.

This was taken in the town of Baclayon. As some of you might know, Bohol is a small island and most of the towns except for the interior ones have coastal areas. It is also an island filled with a lot of white sand beaches and so most of the people's livelihood revolves around fishing.

We have to stop for a short while so I can capture the view of the fishing boats but when I used my mobile phone camera, it wasn't able to really give justice to the beauty of the shoreline.

Moving on, we reached Loay and I quickly snapped this bridge that has been under construction for quite a long time now. I believe the reason for that is because the current bridge is too low that boats can't pass underneath. The new bridge is taller and can allow boats, even ships to go under.

Loay is famous for its floating restaurants but sadly, it has been greatly by the pandemic so they are unable to operate.

Then we passed by Lila, a town which we refer to as quiet and peaceful. For some reason, every time we pass by this town, we would only spot a few residents walking in the streets.

This spot right here is one of my favorites because it shows a rice terrace that sits next to a shoreline too. I love seeing it changes its color depending on the time of the year. This month, the rice paddies are filled with green as the plants had grown already.

Then we passed by this area here which has a lot of thriving mangrove trees on both sides of the road.

There's a fishing area too nearby and I missed the opportunity to take a photo of a floating inflatable play area in the waters. I spotted it before reaching here and when I opened my camera, it was too late to take a photo.

I also like this part here where there are trees on the sides which looked like they are guards standing straight at the sidewalk.

As you can see, there are no other vehicles or people here. It's already golden hour and the sun is about to lose its light. Supposedly, people should be out to either sell something or go to buy in the stores, find fish and other meat to be prepared for dinner but the road was still quite empty.

As we reach Valencia, it's just less than an hour away from home. The coastal area is again visible. I spotted a few vehicles but people are still in their homes.

I somehow forgot to take photos when we reached Jagna. The view of the ocean is lovely in that town too but because I enjoyed the scenery, I somehow forgot to make more snaps. Perhaps, I will do that on the future trip.

our next trip to the city will happen in three months' time, it's still a long way to go, we have no other things to do in Tagbilaran except for the baby's vaccination and doctor's appointment.

xoxo,
