DIY Candle Light I Made
Hello everybody,
This morning I made our own candle light because candle prices gone up after typhoon Odette.
The next day, after the wrath of typhoon Odette, hubby, me and my son, our driver surveyed the damages within our area then proceeded to other nearby municipalities.
We were able to passed by candle factory in Minglanilla because it was just along the road and many bought candles in line. The first store I bought the small candles because no more available stocks. I bought 6 packs.
Then, as we went along I found out some stores have big candles so I bought again big ones. Thats what I used for 10 days. All big ones were consumed. The other night I started using the small ones, ho my, sleepless night for me, so hassle. When the light went off, I must woke up and light up again another candle. Super tired that night. The following day we travelled again, I bought bigger candles. That day our son was unavailable to drive, we hired our neighbor. He told us they used the oil and salt for lighting at night. I remembered on our group chat @olivia08 used same diy candle light. Thus, I made my own diy this morning.
Thankful all materials needed I have in my kitchen. Here's what I did.
Materials: glass, salt, cooking oil, milk foil, cotton thread, knife
I inserted the cotton thread into the tin can made a knot. Then, placed in the glass full of salt and oil.
After an hour I changed the tin lid into a tin foil because it is lighter in weight.
It is good to use this diy than the candles less fire accident and I can sleep a quality sleep. Praying electric will be restore as soon as possible. I am tired of fanning every night. Fan till my eyes dropped.
Thanks for dropping by...

Still no electricity in your place ate @jurich60 til now? glad ours is back but we dont have wifi yet and signal is unstable..
Glad to see that you are safe sis. Merry Christmas and Happy new year
Usually candles would be a cheaper solution, but I think because everyone is buying them the prices are going up. Knowing how to make simple lamps like this is such a good skill. I also like the orange peel lamp, have you seen it?
Really? I haven't seen it yet. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow what an amazing DIY candle momshie @jurich60 very very useful & easy to made 🕯️🕯️🕯️ Thanks sa driver nagsabi 😊
I hate people raising their prices to profit off of people who have been through a lot. We should help each other out and not focus on monetary gains. But I'm glad that you guys had the creativity to create a candle light of your own.
Fanning at night is very tiring jd ate ay.. nisiga naba diha?
My mom used to do this one. She even used match stick with the cotton..instead of the thread.
