NeedleWorkMonday: My Newest Crocheted Yellow Mask
Hello everybody,
The other day, I've read about the Challenge in one of the Social Media where I posted. The Challenge must be a video then if a woman's entry she must wear a veil or mask. I was interested with the Challenge when I viewed other entries they were wearing mask. Then, a bright idea came up, ahahaha, I want to wear a crocheted mask, on that video with the new yellow duckie I bought for my hair.
It was good when I checked from my stash of yarns, I still have yellow cotton balls, 5ply monaco mercerized cotton.
No time wasted I right away started the mask that I have in my mind. Started with 14 half double crochet in a ring.
And, continued until the round became bigger and I was happy it shape the shape I wanted. When the round was enough I crocheted some shells at the ending then crochet the extensions for the ears. After that I got the surgical mask which I bought many stocks. I got one and sewed it on the inner side of the mask I crocheted.
I cut in rounds the excess surgical mask all around, and in less than an hour I made my new mask.Dyarrrran!
That's the time I video my entry and posted. It was a success! After I finished my video hubby asked me to crochet also for him. Hmm, what a good idea! I will make blue color for him.

At first I thought this won't protect anything but when I read further, I saw the surgical nose mask you inserted in it, it makes it look really nice and that made me love your mask the more, you have done a great job with your creativity, I know the blue one will look perfect as well.
Yes, Sis @bimpcy , the surgical mask make it perfect. I am imagining the blue one little bigger than this yellow one.
It's super cute, but I have to ask how will you wash it if the surgical mask is permanently attached? I have two cloth masks that have pockets and you can put a stronger filter inside, but then you can take it out for washing. Does the surgical mask survive washing?

Good evening Jurich. This is a good idea for a face mask. There are people who continue using it after covid, it is really useful to continue protecting ourselves. I liked this one, the color is very pretty 💕.
