Hello everybody,

Fresh off the hook at 8:50pm tonight, Monday Philippines time.

My old crocheted bag is so dirty already not yet wash because I have no other bag that's when I thought I must make another one. Then, I saw in my stash that I still have two rolls of black and maroon tiny cord, no time wasted I started the base yesterday.

With my steel hook 2mm I started Chaining 26 plus 3 considered as 1 double crochet(dc). To perfect the bag base I just copied my old bag, writing the counting.

Thus, I followed what I wrote for the base.

Base done, and so I stopped up to the six round, for the body of the bag, I first searched instagram, pinterest and YouTube for a unique stitch but I did'nt find one that is easy to copy. I thought I just wated my time, so I just made shell stitch or scallop stitch working in right side and wrong side of my work, alternating each round and the color black/maroon.

Then, I fill in two half double crochet(hdc) into the scallop and One dc in between two scallop to even the stitches.

Next round, the handle by dividing into three parts to make space at the center.

Grateful I still have the wooden button with the word, handmade with love engrave into it. I should prefer black big button but I don't have that stock.

I attached it to the center of the bag. After weaving of ends and lighted the edge of the cord, Tadaah! It's done. I placed right away my two wallets.

Tomorrow, at last, I will washed my old bag. New year, I have my new bag!

I really like knitting with this material because it gives firmness to the bags.
The color combination you used was very nice. Greetings!

Yeah, I really used cord in bag making. It is durable. Then when wash time and dried, it is good as new. Thanks much for appreciating.
