WednesdayWalk Japan Feels At Bamboo Forest That MakesMeSmile
Hello everybody,
I went to Kyoto, Japan without a passport or Asian drama perhaps, nya ah ah...
See! Just kidding guys, it was only Japan feels, ahehehe.
Last sunday, after hubby finished making soil test reports he wanted a new ambiance so he suggested we travel somewhere. After our breakfast at our favorite eatery the Park Place by the sea we discussed where we were going. Our driver, my son, suggested we visit again the dragon fruit farm, we agreed with his idea. So, I called my daughter if they can come with us but they have shipment on that day with their online business, hence, they can't join us. Since we were only four of us, I suggested that we visit Bamboo Forest in Medillin, at the northern part of Cebu. My son do not know the area so, he just google it. and
decided, we visit the area. This was the way of our travel.
Passing many coastal municipalities. We enjoyed the scenery as far as the eyes can bluish water of the sea.Starting here in Danao City.
It was in this City we stopped over for our lunch. Hubby and my son wanted to taste their grilled fish which was abundant just along the road but I discouraged them that Tulingan fish can cause allergy. The alternative was the drive tru McDo which I much appreciate their location by the seaside.
We just parked at the side and enjoyed with gusto the big mc and iced cappuchino. While I was eating I didn't knew that my son took video and uploaded in his instagram account. Then, later my youngest daughter who was in Olongapo City shared the video in our family group chat, ho my! I just laugh and laugh my eating way. If you viewed the video you can tell how hungry I was, hahahaha! My bad....

Continuing with our travel, we passed many resort just by the roadside, their parking spaces full of cars, many were swimming and the cottages were full pack since it was sunday. We also passed by a bus loaded with passenger accident whose tires fell down at the gutter.
We felt sorry for them, just maybe the driver was sleepy or whatever.
We also passed by the countryside scenery, with sugarcane plants as far as the eyes can see,but still a few houses by the roadside. I just pity the children around for I can see no street lights available how many kilometers away. But, the road is perfect for travel, wide and cemented.
Later on we arrived in Medillin, google notified we were near our destination.
The wide parking space in front of the Bamboo Forest entrance where we
parked.
This is the entrance, where I let my son and grandson bought our entrance ticket for 30pesos per person.
They went inside first because I ordered iced cappuchino for hubby and tried also their product which was pintos - grounded sweet corn with sugar cane juice.
Hubby can't walk so he just stayed inside the van. After my son's reconnaisance inside, he gave me my entrance ticket then together with my grandson we went inside because he will be my photographer.
Towering bamboo trees all over!
At the sides were the paraphernalia's for rent for the picture taking.
So, I rent the Japanese kimono set for 100 pesos only. The kimono, the umbrella, the wooden sandals plus the flowers for my hair.
Ok
While I was changing clothes I wonder about the history of the place.
The story of Bamboo Forest:
Six yrs ago farmers and planters belonging to the Bogo-Medillin Milling Company planted bamboos to help the sugarcane and banana plantation, harvested to prop up bananas. But, according to Jose Mari Miranda, they came up with the idea to turn it into a hangout when they noticed locals dropping by and have their picture taken with bamboos as the background.200 badges of fully grown towering bamboo trees. With tourist coming, Bamboo Forest is now a historical landmark in Medillin, Cebu. Exact location - Brgy. Luy-a, Medillin, Northern Cebu.

I do enjoyed my photo shooting session even though I was alone, I felt Japan and makesmesmile.
When we were leaving my son teased me, "Naks, Daddy really loves you, imagine we travelled more than 4 hours one way plus our travel back home, just for your photoshoot with the bamboos!ahahaha..." "Oh, is that so." I was amused.
Thank you much @tattoodjay for this wednesdaywalk and your collaboration with @elizacheng that makesmesmile including @justinparke with aseanhive community.
