It Still Hurts | ZAPFIC50 MONDAY | (1/23/23) - Prompt: sister

The prompt this week "sister" presented the opportunity to explore siblings and other family members. If one has a large family , there are always cliques within the family. Some siblings are closer than others. They're all special. It's just that you see eye to eye with one or more of them.

This week's prompt is special for me. Although only eight years older, my sister was my mother and friend. She was our savior when both parents worked outside the home to make ends meet. There will never be another like her. Although I still have chills when I remember the EX-LAX in the chocolate cake! Not funny at all! But all was forgiven.

I relate my feelings in the ZAPFIC50 Monday for this week. This challenge is brought to you by @felt-buzz.

My story is below:

She cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner for four younger siblings, and one older brother.

She babysat us younger ones.

She entertained us.

She played weird jokes: Ex-Lax in chocolate cake; uncooked oatmeal.

She placed her life on hold until we were old enough.

Type1 Diabetes.

Age 50: Died.
