Sacrifice From the Sea | LET'S MAKE A COLLAGE: ROUND #102

LMAC-Round102-Final.png

Hello everyone and welcome back to Let's Make a Collage ("LMAC"). For this week's collage, we have an industrial plant situated on the outskirts of town hidden away besides a hillside. This will be an unusual theme to capture the look and feel of the contest photo.

To protect the town's refinery, it was a good idea to place the refinery away from the city. However, an unusual occurrence took place. One year, the workers encountered a strange spacecraft hovering over the worksite. They scrambled and were able to escape via the nearby waterway. One brave soul stood his ground.

Puzzled the alien didn't pursue into the water, the worker surmised that it must be a weakness. In order to protect himself, he summoned the sea god, overseer of the creatures. Thankful to the town and the workers for not polluting their waters, the sea god was willing to help save the town and refinery.

The sea god offered a sacrifice of it's most precious food resource. Not knowing whether the alien would accept the octopus, he offered it as a sacrifice nonetheless. The alien was drunk with delight and couldn't consume enough. Thanks to the quick thinking of the brave worker, the town and refinery was saved.

To create the setting, I started with the photograph provided by @shaka in his contest post: Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 102 - ✨167 HIVE in the Prize Pool!

I located a nice background to represent the alien. It's always the eyes that fascinate me in photos.

To create the collage, I uploaded both the contest photo, background and all images into Canva. I utilize Canva since I have an Annual Pro Membership Subscription that allows me to remove backgrounds, apply filters, resize, and utilize its other tools.

I used the program DeepDreamGenerator to add some flavor to the alien to give it another layer of mystery and other worldliness.

Next, I added the other images, arranging them to present an alien at the top of the image with the water element in the center, and the industrial plant as part of the landscape.

I love the colors, then the background, the theme, it's like a sacrifice to a goddess, it's an excellent collage.

Esoteric and magnificent collage, you can see the influence of H.P Lovecraft in it and in your story. Every day I am more surprised with the references that are captured in these works of art. Standing applause!!!!.

Hello. Whenever you get a moment, check out the digital art I use sometimes in my themes. They're from my fractal rendering projects I create and publish in the Alien Art Hive and other communities.

I appreciate you in advance for taking the time to do so. Have a good start to your weekend.

I just left your blog and your fractal art. That opens up a whole world of intuitive design. I love fractals because they are intuitive and because they are related, in a way, to geometry. You really have mastered the art (I know you will keep learning...that is your way) and have created memorable, unique designs.

When I have time (when will I have time again in my life😄?) I'd like to try my hand at this. It looks relaxing.

Thanks for the intro

Thank you for your visit. I have contributed over 200 fractal art images. The bot has yet to index some of my posts, one from last month in which I delved deeper into the various tools of the fractal rendering program. I'd love to share the images with LMAC members for their collages:

https://peakd.com/hive-174695/@justclickindiva/lil-my-9th-contribution-to-lmac-image-library-sharing-70-surreal-and-beautiful-digital-drawings-lets-make-a-collage

When I first started in fractal design, I had no idea the world that would open up in terms of digital art. The learning curve is steep, but fun and relaxing. The program I use is Apophysis 2.09. However, there are several other free fractal rendering programs.

Whenever you're ready, I have a couple resources for getting started on small projects.

I know you're busy, so appreciate your time.

Hello. Thank you so much for your nice words and also for taking the time to stop by and view my collage theme. I usually add many of my digital art pieces created from my fractal rendering projects. I love designing digital art that resembles alien surrealism and publish in the Alien Art Hive Community.

Take care, and have a good start to your weekend.

Excellent, I liked that adding a little story to the collage, I think we all would like to have that moment of courage as the worker, to be able to help everyone at a certain point!

Hello, your collage is excellent where creatures protect nature, but I believe that the god of the sea is not going to protect a company that damages its environment. Good luck in the friend contest.
