Silent Night's Moon | LMAC FreeStyle Collage No. 142
Hello LMAC and Hive members. I wanted to share with you my final seasonal collage for 2025. My theme entails a night skyline that reflects a man's view of the environmental landscape. He desires that all be well in which humans and nature are compatible. The scowl on his face indicates he's displeased with some of what he's witnessed. All is not harmonious as he'd envisioned. I titled it Silent Night's Moon to reflect how the man suffers in silence as he's powerless to help.
My style of collage is a Freestyle. Although I usually do, I wasn't required to utilize any contest photo in my design. However, if you'd like to join in and participate in the regular contests, just visit the Community's account to find out more information.
In preparing my theme, I relied upon an unusual image of a man's face partially exposed in which leaves surround his face. I decided to place his face in the skyline as though he's viewing the world from the moon. The images I included assisted in creating a lovely moonlit night that hides the reality of the landscape. The only indication of this is the man's countenance.
I utilized Canva to blend the different type images. Below are my procedures in which I began with a blank, white canvas, then added layers of elements, removing backgrounds, resizing, detaching elements from their backgrounds, duplicating, colorizing, and repositioning items as needed incorporating the tools at my disposal in my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.

This is an extraordinary collage ... and indeed thought-provoking as it is beautiful ... the use of the fractal is amazing!

I'm not creating anything new. With six years of drafts waiting to be completed, I'm working through them with fresh eyes and new take on their stories. I already know the rewards currently in place won't justify the time and effort expended for creating a quality product.
That is the sadness of Hive right now ... I have plenty of draft art too, just waiting for stories ... and for better times ... we live and walk and rest in hope, as I put it in the mouth of one of my characters here ... but the situation is what it is, and with the U.S. destabilizing the home of some of Hive's most dedicated users, there is no telling when things may improve ... but we keep moving forward as the Lord leads us, with prayer all around...

Hwllo @drakernoise. Thanks so much for stopping by. I've been quite busy lately IRL, opting to reduce my time spent online. Hive has certainly changed, dwindling as best describes it. I'll still try to be active as much as I can. I have numerous projects in drafts stored up over the years that I want to get them completed.
