The Promise | ZAPFIC50 MONDAY (1/8/24) | Prompt: prosper (prosperar)
It's time for the ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge again. This new challenge by @felt-buzz presented the opportunity to explore the prompt this week "prosper". When I think of being prosperous or someone having the ability to prosper, I think of people who are happy, healthy, and wealthy. But it takes more than that to truly be prosperous. One can proper in their faith and their spirit as well as in their finances. I share a flash fiction story that relates to someone taking advantage of the downtrodden for their own gain. These type of actions will not lead to prosperity for the perpetrator. The format of this challenge is a ZAPFIC50Monday story, one that must be told in exactly 50 words.
My story is below:
Enthralled by Prosper's charm, hundreds flocked to him. The room was overflowing with hope. There were people everywhere. People stuffed hands in empty pockets. People prayed. People consoled others. People doubtful whether Prosper would deliver.
Finished praying, Prosper leaned down, holding a prayer cup, hoping someone would spare a dollar.

A continuación mi historia.
