Justfavour’s 2023 Goals And Strategy To Achieving Them

Every year, I see lots of people setting new year goals. “New year, new me” “new year, new resolution”. Hoping to change themselves and become a better version. Is it surprising or weird that I’ve never set new year goals for myself? I just don’t know why. Even in high school, my classmates used to write their new year goals on a piece of paper and paste it on their desk. About 98% of my classmates used to write down their new year (new session) goals, but I was among the 2% that never bothered trying it.

I didn’t see it as something interesting. I wasn’t hyped about it at all. But this year, something changed about me. Or maybe a fairy planted a seed in me, or a monster turned good and blessed me (yes, monsters also share blessings). My eyes opened and I discovered the importance of setting new year goals. For the first time in my life, I made up my mind to set my new year goals and write them boldly (with black and red pen) in my diary. I thought of this beautiful idea (writing down my new year goals in my diary) when I achieved 1000HP in my sixth month on the blockchain.

I made up my mind to set up new year goals- hive goals (financial goals) and personal goals. Surprisingly, the hive learners community also suggested a topic that has to do with new year goals. I was so happy when I saw this topic among the 5 topic suggestions, and I had to beg people to vote for this topic.

When I joined hive (June 01, 2022), I had no plans. I didn’t set any goals. I was a newbie who didn’t see the need to set goals on hive. But as I grew older on the blockchain, I wandered from one hole to another. I explored nooks and crannies, and luckily for me, I discovered the newbies initiative. The program taught me different things, and one of them is the importance of setting goals.

It is very important to set goals. SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound). One important step to achieving success is setting goals. The biggest reason why you should set goals for yourself is for motivation.

There’s something about me. Something I like to brag about. Why shouldn’t I brag about it? It’s a good thing and not everyone has it. I’m consistent and determined. Consistency and determination is my motto. When I put my mind to something, I’m definitely going to achieve it by all means. A few days ago, I made a ~silly~ mistake in the neoxian city, the Dragon (Neoxian) was not happy about it, and he eased my chat level and also cleared my citizenship (yeah, a big deal). Of course, the mistake was unintentional, but there was nothing I could do about it. Instead of wallowing, the best thing to do is to start working and get everything back. A friend of mine also got punished, so we were in it together.

I was pretty determined to get my chat level and citizenship back. Getting these things isn’t very easy. It took some people days, and even weeks to do this, but I was determined and I got it all back in 14 hours. My Neoxian friends were surprised and impressed.

So, let’s get down to it. With my consistency and determination spirit, and with the Almighty by my side, here’s a list of my hive 2023 hive goals.

CONSISTENCY GOAL

This is the first goal on my list, and also the hardest. It is not easy to write everyday. Sometimes you experience writer’s block, sometimes lack of motivation comes into play, and other hindrances that could prevent you from writing everyday.

I’m a University student. I’m studying in a federal university (a very tough one). Tests, classes, exams, assignments and all are BIG factors that can hinder me from writing everyday. Even though this goal is 60% impossible, I’m going to set it anyway (to motivate me). Writing everyday on the blockchain. Stamped.

My Strategy

As I said earlier, this is the hardest goal of all. Writing whenever I’m free, and writing posts ahead of time. This will help me to have articles ready during exam periods (or tough times)

Hive Power Goal

To grow your account on the blockchain, you have to increase your hive power. The importance of hive power cannot be overemphasized. When I joined the newbies initiative program, I had a hive power of 300+ and I set a goal to achieve 600HP after 7 weeks. After 7 weeks, I had a hive power of 700+ and after 2 days, I achieved 1000 Hive power. Thanks to my power up.

My Hive Power goal is to get 1700HP before the end of my 1 year anniversary on the blockchain. And 2500 HP before the end of the year.

MY HIVE POWER GOAL STRATEGY

How do I want to achieve 1800 HP before the end of my 1 year anniversary and 2500 before the end of 2023?

Setting my post payout to 100 % hive power on at least 3 posts per week
Powering up every 1st of the month; thanks to a friend who told me about this strategy and I’ve been doing it since I got to know about it.

DREEMER

I was once a dreemer. I fell in love with dreemport, but somehow, I don’t know what happened, but I stopped being a dreemer. My goal of the year is to be an active dreemer. Thankfully, I have friends to motivate me.

REPUTATION GOAL

I currently have a reputation of 66, before the end of the year, my goal is to achieve a reputation of 70.

These are my 2023 goals. I know with the ride attitude, and with God by my side I’ll surely be able to achieve these goals.
