Happy Birthday To Me On Independence Day

Hy beautiful women of hive, I was amazed going through a post made by @adaezeinchrist about her birthday today which coincides with the independence event of Nigeria.

I wish her and all whose birth month is October a blissful celebration with many more years to come.

It’s my birthday today also, initially I was thinking of why I should post it here since its personal but when I saw her post I was also inspired to do so. It amazes me that two members of the @ladiesofhive community are having birthdays today, what a coincidence.

I am happy to see this very day because if not for the creator, I wouldn’t have been alive to witness today.

I remember when I was kidnapped on my way to school 12 years ago right before my eyes I saw someone due to heart tension fell dead because the family was not able to pay for her ransom. She was a woman in her 70’s.

What really prompted my escape

As my parent were in search for me, then I didn’t have a phone, I only had my dad phone number stored in my memory which I was permitted to put a call through.

Something happened that night that there was a disagreement between the kidnappers on sharing a ransom. This led to their leader to kill one of his workers in a rage due to an heated argument. Then two of the kidnappers killed themselves including their leader was killed in fact that was when I saw a dead body with my eyes, it was really bloody and we all were hiding our head.

All these happening was as a result of how they made the old woman lost her life due to tension and excessive cold. The moment there was a disagreement, the person who was in charge for that night, a doctor wasn’t on duty because his wife was pregnant and hospitalized.

This left me alone with two others with the option of running away in a thick forest at night. A forest where you can’t find anyone except just you alone and I ran for my dear life and was rescued. I ran for three good hours breathing heavily not until I saw a woman within the early hours of 6am because the sun was about to rise.

She asked me why I am there I narrated the story. she was about going to her farm but when she heard my story, she promised never to visit the farm again.

With all these that happened which made me to witness this day, I am so much grateful to the creator how he spared me. I am wishing myself more achievements and others too whose birth month is October.
