There is an outpost-ish type town called Pramoey which we just heard has a private English language school and affordable rental rooms, so that is enough for us to use it as a basecamp. For $50 a month, we can a tiny room with a bed and bathroom, a place to keep our bags and take showers, and we can use this room as a place to explore the nearby countryside for land purchasing opportunities.
