πŸ₯Ÿ Samosa Day Is A Family Affair πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§ & Goofiness Maintains Family Morale πŸ€ͺ

A few days ago it was Nepali momos, and for lunch and dinner on this day it was cabbage samosas with tomato chutney, a treat the whole family loves.

A Family Of Samosa Artists πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ¨

Β  Β  Β I've already shared my Tomato Chutney recipe on Hive, so I won't do that again, so I'll just show you some outtakes from a samosa and chutney filled day. I went in search of my cabbage-onion samosa recipe, and couldn't find it, but I could've sworn I had already shared it on Hive in the past. Looks like I was wrong, so someday I will show you all my super-duper samosa recipe too.

Β  Β  Β In total I made enough dough and filling for 36 samosas, and of course a fresh batch of tomato chutney to partner them with. My family particularly likes folding the samosas, so after doing all the hard work I like to let them enjoy the fun bit while I do the deep-frying. I didn't even think to take any pics until only two samosas were from lunch were left. Well, the above image proves I am no liar, they are samosas, that is tomato chutney, and I blog on Hive yo'.

A Second Chance πŸ₯Ÿ

Β  Β  Β I made so many samosas that lunch also became dinner. For round 2 I made sure to take a picture of the samosa stack. Not longer after this samosa pyramid disappeared we all took samosa-induced day naps. My daughters weren't cooperating with photography on this day even though they wanted to devour the food I spent a long time creating.

Β  Β  Β Well, sometimes you just have to show the kids how it's done, so I flip-flopped the camera app in my phone and took a samosa selfie to show them I am just as cute as well as being far more goofy. I opted for a "What is this monstrosity?" in my hands look while they laughed and watched the master content creator at work.

Nom Nom Nom πŸ˜‹

Β  Β  Β It is so hard to make something the whole family likes, but this day was a hit. You can almost never go wrong when you fry something, and I've seen folks who don't even eat vegetables happily devour some hot fresh samosa action. Even one of the neighbor girls that prefers mostly packaged foods came by and stared at the pile of samosas until we offered her some. Well, that's all for now folks, sorry this wasn't a recipe post, but now that I know I haven't shared my cabbage-onion samosa recipe yet, I'll be sure to do it in the near future.

Don't think so. There's one time Mr.Potato does something similar, but I don't remember I manage to grab one before they stop production.

Samosa chips, now that's something I haven't heard of. The packing looks a bit 'Merican, especially the big Vegan branding. If was more of a samosa artist, I could shape them into fish, and that would be more tolerable for the Cambodian diner. Now we're onto an idea, fish-shaped samosa chips πŸ€”.

It is So much so that if it was nearby I would have eaten it and I would have done with you asking for a good day, but I look at justin's face like a joke wants to make you laugh.

Wow! It's mouthwatering. It was such a generous act. Maybe they want some which is why they come nearby. Stay safe and God bless.

Yes, it's so funny, the neighbors know we are vegan, and for them that is really weird. Most people here in the village eat very few veggies, but when people see us deep-frying something, they tend to hang around πŸ˜‰πŸ˜. Thanks for the samosa stop πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™.

I guess it almost the same but we use potato curry for the filling , and sometimes people also use leftover noodles for the filling . !LOLZ .

Leftover noodles, now that's a unique Malaysian twist πŸ‘.

One of my quotes that I'm known for is "if everyone in the world ate samosas for breakfast, there would be no war and no hate."

Hmmm, if you ever get into politics you might be able to use this one, although I don't think it will entice the conservative crowd πŸ˜‰. I always something in Khmer to my family that loosely translates to 'There's no such thing as too many samosas," usually said when I keep adding more and more to an already massive pile of fried triangles.
