Abortion: A Choice, A Right, or A Shared Decision?

This post is a response to the Hive learners prompt for this week, #ABORT OR NOT.
INTRO
This is a topic that is quite subjective and often controversial. There are people whose beliefs don't support the idea of women having an abortion, and another group believes it's not wrong at all.
I fall somewhere in the middle, with my own personal belief, but also with the understanding that people have different realities.

My Belief
I believe everyone has a choice on how they decide to live their lives, whether they want to skydive without a parachute, and definitely has the power to decide to keep a baby or not.
There are cases where the choice is out of your hands because certain countries or states have laws that prevent the doctors or medical practitioners from carrying out the abortion process. In that situation, you'd have to just follow the law of the land and keep the baby.

Should you abort if you're not ready to have kids?
There is a saying I'm fond of: "Prevention is better than cure."
Abstain from sex so you wouldn't have the need to get an abortion.
I personally would keep the baby if I accidentally got a girl pregnant. I am currently not financially ready to take care of a baby, but I believe an abortion is risky for the mother, and I would never put someone else's life in jeopardy.
Additionally, children are blessings. I might not be financially capable of handling the responsibility, but I would definitely figure it out and take care of both the mother and the child rather than get an abortion. This is just my own belief. I cherish life, and I can't snuff out a life that came from me.
However, this is my personal belief, not a rule for everyone.
I don't judge people that have had abortions or plan to, especially when they are not ready to bear the responsibility. As long as the law in your country or state allows it and the mother of the unborn child agrees with it, then it is fine.

Should the Men Have a Say?
This is a tricky one.
My answer is: Yes, men should have a say, but not the final say.
A zygote (a fertilized egg cell) would never have been produced without the semen from the man to fertilize the eggs. The proper thing to do is to talk to your partner, and both parties should come to an agreement on if an abortion should be done or if they should keep the baby.
However,
it's still the mother that will carry the baby.
The woman takes the health risks.
The woman goes through the emotional, hormonal, and physical burden.
So while the man and woman would talk about it and deliberate, the final decision to keep the baby or not lies in the woman's hands. She's the one that would carry the baby, deliver it, and also bear the risk of either delivery or abortion, so it's only logical for her to have the final decision in the matter.

Conclusion
You should abstain from sex to avoid unwanted pregnancy. If you are sexually active and you can't, then use contraceptives to prevent being in a sticky situation. If you are a young person or even an adult in such a situation, it's advisable to speak with family and friends. And if you think they are not approachable, you should talk to a doctor, a therapist, or your spiritual leaders in church or call agencies that handle such cases.

Hahaha, our take on this matter is similar. It is a thing of choice but if we abstain, there won't be a need to even abort.
Taking our cross and accepting to keep that pregnancy is a sign that we have admitted we are wrong and probably learned our lessons. It's taking responsibility for our acts..
One abortion can lead to another, then another, and if God doesn't show mercy, our lives might be endangered in the end...
