It's my birthday and I'll play Path of Exile all day if I want to! 🎵🎶

It's that time again! Path of Exile League Time! 😁 Just in time for me to indulge all weekend as I feast, drink, and refuse to leave my pyjamas.

There's a few things I want to make note of for this league:

• Kirac's Vault is now a "proper" battle pass with a free track on it as well as premium.
• Kirac's Vault now has stuff WORTH getting.

Previously it just had skins for various unique items. I don't care. I wanted actual, proper skins that I could use regardless what my character was wearing. It seems like they've listened for this time there's a real skin set available.

I would also like to make note of their queue system. A system that Blizzard really should take a few notes of themselves. I opened the game in the 16,000s; I entered the game a mere 3 or 4 minutes later. If this were Diablo, or World of Warcraft, or whatever, I would've been sitting there for houuurrrssssss.

For this League, I'm trying out one of Wrecker of Days' "Stress Free" builds... and by golly, as of writing this particular paragraph, I'm only level 56 and haven't finished the campaign yet, and I love it so much.

(Please remember: when I write my PoE posts, I write as I play. By the time you get to the end of this write up I'll be about level 75-80).

It's a Reaper Elementalist build (PoE Planner link) designed to basically be a walking simulator with a dash of dash. And I looooove it. I don't have all the the links required yet, but I feel as though this is going to be amazing. I can literally just stand there and let things wail on me. So cool.

Unfortunately my Reaper is hard to get a screenshot of, but she's up there with my lady. Two feisty women, one witch/one reaper, taking on Wraeclast.

So far I have found onnneeeee measly chaos orb. Last League I played, I found my first one before I was even level 20 and I spent all morning smirking at my partner because of my good fortune. xD

This time, he found one before I did. The audacity.

But that's alright.

What's also super cool about the build I'm doing? It's been built with HC SSF in mind and there are no uniques required!! The only things I'm going to have to buy, more likely than not, is a six-link chest piece and an Empower gem. 😈 I don't have to farm up ridiculous amounts of currency. Muahaha!

When it comes to the new League mechanic... I'm currently not too sure of it.

I really love the idea of weapons and shields having cool passive trees that you gain XP for. Apparently, later on, you can merge the trees of weapons and form a new weapon, but I haven't discovered how to do that yet.

When I first came across the forge at like, level 2 🤣 I charged the forge all the way up before releasing it. Yeah. That was a bad idea. Even fully decked out later on, you're probably going to want to charge up the forge in increments.

You will get annihilated. I got annihilated so bad that I returned to town and reset the map, HAHA!

When I finished for the day on Day One of the League, this was the state of my bank.

I feel like less scrolls are dropping? Or maybe I'm not vendoring as much as I usually do? Either way, it seems low. And something to rectify on this Day Two of the League.

Which just so happens to be Easter. And my birthday. And as the title of this post suggests, I'm going to play Path of Exile all day. xD

(And drink Kahlua and Baileys; indulge in prawns, chocolate, and hot cross buns; and not leave the comfort of my pyjamas.)

I think it's cool that the Kirac's Vault now has a free path as well as a premium one — you don't really get anything good, but at least you get something.

When I completed my first map, I got three orbs of horizon. Woo. xD

I also found my first six-link weapon in that first map... it was corrupted though, so not worth anything really. Looked up similar on the trade website and could get a whole 5 chaos orbs for it. Yay. Sold it though!

My main goal at the moment is to farm up item sets to vendor for chaos orbs. By the end of my playtime on Day Two, I had a total of 14 chaos orbs thanks to just drops (and selling that six-link) so I went and bought a few things for myself so I could continue the nitty gritty of this build I'm using.

I got a bunch of cheap stuff that'll do for the time being. I was mostly just focusing on getting armour/energy shield and life........ because, for the first time, I have life being used to reserve abilities. 😱 Which scares me. It's not my usual play style whatsoever. And my character isn't quite strong enough yet to pull it off completely.

The main thing I need next, gear-wise, is a six-link chestpiece so I can get my Reaper all kitted out.

Something I didn't know that had happened in the world of Path of Exile is that poe.trade had completely disappeared.

Astonished that the website wasn't working, I hastily googled what the heck happened and apparently it shut down in October last year? I had absolutely no idea. Seems that trading operations have moved to the official Path of Exile website.

I found it a bit difficult to navigate at first, being I'm so used to the old poe.trade. But yeah. It basically works the same. It's growing on me. I can't seem to straight up copy and paste items into the search though like you could on poe.trade... which is disappointing.

Makin' me alt tab constantly to put the stats on the search manually so I can find similar things. Sheesh. 🙄

Anyway. Path of Exile seems pretty good at the moment! The perfect time-killer whilst waiting for Diablo 4 to arrive. 😁

The way I see's it is, I'll get my ARPG fix now. I'll probably be over it in a week or two, as always, because I can't get past tier 16 maps. 👀 And then by the time Diablo 4 is released, I'll be ready for an ARPG again. A NEW one! It's perfect.
