Lovely Lorikeets

Despite it being a grey and gloomy day with only the occasional hint of blue sky and sunshine, it wasn't raining and thus I decided that I needed to grab my new camera and go on a little photo spree.

Around the corner from my house happens to be a little community garden and playground. The perfect spot to capture some lorikeets while my son was occupied with the swings and slides.

This little guy was sitting patiently, letting me snap away, with the occasional annoyed chirp as though he knew I was there capturing his private moments.

Then his girlfriend came over and they were whispering to each other about how could they get rid of this annoying human with the big black camera?

They tried to stare the human away...

And when that didn't work they summoned more of their flock.

Finally, they flew up higher into the treetops and chuckled to themselves because surely behind the mass of leaves and branches they would finally have some privacy.

They were wrong. 😅

But it was okay; the human decided now was a good time to wander off back home and left the lovely lorikeets, eager to check out how the photos turned out on the computer. 😁

Until next time! 😊📷🦜

Some very cool photos!! The plumage of these parrots is very beautiful and colorful, they make anyone happy, hahahaha they went to have more privacy in the treetops.

Cheers
