[Screenshot Showcase] Starfield!

It is time — time to share with you a whole lot of fancy photos I've been taking with the in-game camera of Starfield! And, I suppose, babble a bit about the game, because what is a screenshot showcase without some babbling commentary?

Nothing! That's what.

image.png

Starting with a few screenshots from Neon, a city I expect a lot of mods will add several hedonistic activities to. The party capital of the Settled Systems.

image.png

Complete with filthy bathrooms.

image.png

And back alley ladies. This is totally where the inevitable Red Light District mod will be going.

image.png
image.png
image.png

I like Neon. I seem to spend more time there than anywhere else so far, although that's probably because I was doing the Ryujin Industries questline. I feel as though, in Skyrim Comparison Terms, that faction is the equivalent of the Thieves Guild.

image.png

Now that I've completed their main quests, I can pick up extra money-makers like planting evidence, sabotaging competitors, and other clandestine activities.

image.png

While doing the Ryujin quests though, it's become horridly clear that there are no "darker" companions in the game.

You have Sarah who is basically Lawful Good, despite saying she doesn't care what you get up to as long as it doesn't harm Constellation. There is Barrett who is basically Lawful Good. Sam is Lawful Good. And then there's Andreja... dark, mysterious, previously a smuggler who has no issue with murder... she's also Lawful Good.

ARGH.

image.png

So, as a result, I, too, an playing a Lawful Good character. There are no "evil" companions who can accompany me on my more questionable activities. I have to do them solo or I get smacked in the face with "such-n-such HATED that!" or "such-n-such is ANGRY with you!"

Ugh.

image.png

In a way, though, that's not toooooo bad. The way they've done Starfield is interesting...
SPOILER ALERT.

.

So, you go through the main story, finish the game, and then basically be reborn in a new universe. You experience the game again, but with changes, and as you keep doing this over and over, the universe changes more and more. There are people who have discovered universes where Constellation is made up of children. Of just clones of your character. And apparently side-quests change and you can hint at insider knowledge since you've done it before in another universe.

I think that's cool. And allows you to be evil yourself in another universe if you weren't in the last universe. Do things differently. I haven't experienced this yet... but.. maybe... just maybe... if you get a universe with Constellation alive and kicking and adult, maybe they'll have a personality change?

That would be nice.

I WANT AN EVIL COMPANION.

image.png

Ahem. Anyway.

image.png

As predicted, I've been absolutely living in Starfield. I haven't done what that spoiler above entailed yet, but I've been watching my partner play too and reading the Reddit. I don't really care about spoilers, myself, so I find it all interesting having knowledge of what's to come.

image.png
image.png

I'm always on the lookout for amusing things.

One of my favourite things in Fallout 4 was stumbling across mannequins in strange positions, or those little toys surrounded by paraphernalia, or the toilet humour behind some cubicle doors.

I haven't found quite so many things in Starfield yet, but I've been amused by a "I hate space" drawing, and then this area in some abandoned warehouse involving a makeshift bathroom. xD

image.png

Occasionally you can find books that allow you to discover landmarks on a long abandoned, long destroyed Earth.

I'm a bit disappointed with Earth, to be honest. I was hoping to find remains of cities and things but instead it's a great dustball.

image.png
image.png
image.png

But there are so many beautiful places to visit and explore, so I guess it's not too bad. If Earth was a bunch of ruins, I'd probably have spent 20 odd hours there investigating the ruins instead of investigating the galaxy. xD

image.png

At the moment, I've just started the UC Vanguard quest-line. My partner just played through it and when he showed me his free Penthouse in the city I just had no choice. I needed to do it too.

I bought a house in Akila City. It's supposedly a "manor." But it's nothing compared to the property my partner just acquired for FREE.

image.png

I'm taking Sam with me because he's of the opposite faction and gives amusing, snarky commentary in regards to the UC.

Should be good! xD

Until next time! 🚀🔥⭐️

The game's graphics are undoubtedly very good, and the screen shots prove it very well. The fact that you experience different things every time after you finish the game is also a plus.

I'm using a Reshade for the game's graphics 😅 just because the green overtone was horrible. You can see the green overtone in the header image... it's not very pleasant. Once that's gone though, the game looks fantastic!

It's going to take me a long time to experience these new universes, but I think it's going to be very interesting! Definitely something different.

That game is quite fun, and the best thing is how huge it is. I'm quite a fan of taking screenshots while I'm in a game. So I can understand that other players also enjoy taking photographs much of the time.

I loved reading about starfield, I have not played it but with the expectations that were generated by the game I really liked it and I really like to see the reviews and opinions, very good captures of the game it is seen that there is a variety of environments.
