When one cat just isn't enough... mould another one!

Charlie-Cat: "Whaddya mean you want to use the table??"

In my offline life I'm very insistent that we need another cat. I trawl all over the local rescues and adoption pages, gaze lovingly at all these cats and kittens that have been abandoned and require a new home, and thrust their cute photos at my partner, attempting to tempt him with their cuteness.

Honestly though, our house isn't very big, there's not even enough room to put up a christmas tree so we just decorate the small dining table. And it doesn't help that my partner is allergic to cats. He lives on allergy tablets and we have a couple of air purifiers around the house and that mostly helps at least. Maybe one day when we have a bigger house -- we're also planning on a pup at some point! 😃

Anyway! As is tradition, we give each other novelty gifts at Christmas as well as a couple of proper, thoughtful gifts. I got him a fart extinguisher 🤣 and he got me a new house so we never have to rent again! (it's an inch-sized plastic house, haha!)

He also got me a Mould Your Own Pet kit, due to my constant nagging about MORE CATS! 😂😸

It's just a joke gift. The item itself is designed for small children. But whatever! I'm going to mould my own cat! And Charlie-Cat is going to supervise my progress.

We open the box and a bunch of stuff comes out!

We have some orange play-dough, a thumbs up sticker (or sideways, or down, however you look at it), and a bunch of cards dependent on whichever creature you want to mould -- a cat, hamster, corgi, or goldfish.

I want a cat!

Charlie-Cat sniffs, derisively. "You're going to turn that into a majestic beast such as myself?"

"Don't worry," I coo. "This will never be as majestic as you."

Having not touched play-dough for a lonnnngggggg time, my manner is very shoddy. But at last I managed to jam everything into position without fear of it coming apart.

I don't dare try to smooth it. The tail will fall off.

Charlie-Cat smirks to himself and shakes his little cat head.

Unlike the picture on the box, you can't just simply place the head on the side of the playdough... without an adhesive at least. I didn't think of that until right now, writing this.

Anyway. And so! I jam the cat head into the neck-part of my horribly crafted cat body and give him some fish to munch on.

Now that my new cat was content with his fish, I brought him back to my new house. 😂🤣

Ahh, home sweet home!

I think it's fair to say that Charlie-Cat has nothing to worry about. Look at him just lazin' about, staring at me with dull amusement at the thought I could create something as wonderful as he.

"Silly human," he smirks to himself, then flinches and flails as the silly human dares fluff up his belly.

Until next time! 😸🐈

Charlie-Cat seems well behaved sitting and watching without pushing everything off the table. 😂

Mine was MUCH naughtier.

I'm not sure if another cat would be a good idea, Charlie might not take it lightly, he surely seems acting as an uncontested king right now, and might not like it any other way. 😆

Oh, he has his moments! 😂 He rather enjoys knocking things off tables... when we're not around to witness his crimes.

He's actually quite good with other cats! 😊 We have a neighbour's cat visit all the time. She just waltzes inside like she owns the place and Charlie's just, "Look! There's a box over here! It's mine! You can share it!" 😻

Not quite sure how he'd go with a permanent addition to the family though. 😅

I wish you to buy a new home quickly and be able to show off your new puppy's photo :)
My wife misses her cat very much. When she moved out of her hometown after marriage, she had to leave him. She always said he was a gentleman with a tie.

Charlie Cat looks handsome. I had 2 cats but one passed and now Red seems lonely. Red is about 14 yr and not as spry as he used to be.

He is very handsome! 😸

I'm sorry that your Red seems lonely. 14! He sounds like an old, wise fellow. 🙂
