Happy Caturday: orange cats sleep all day.

My orange cats are getting bigger and homely as they get older. I still miss their mother, grandmother and aunty cats including their big brother from time to time. I couldn’t help imagine what it would be like to have six cats together in my small house! What fun it would be when I took them out for a walk or played hide and seek together in the garden. In the evening, I would be chasing my two orange cats around the garden. I would quietly creep on them and startle them with strange noise to frighten them into a sprint. They have become used to my pranks and always played along.

They would go hiding among some big rocks or under some bush. If it was very dark in the garden, I would have to use my torch to scan for them. It was good fun to be able to play chase with orange cats. That’s my training for their alertness and flexibility in escaping a surprised attack. If they refused to climb trees, I would pick them up, one by one, to be deposited on some big branches. They loved this a lot as they have become lazy when they got too heavy. Jumping down from trees after enjoying good views of the fields outside was quite acceptable to my cats.

These fat cats could sleep the whole morning and afternoon while I was doing my chores in the house. They have become used to the noises I made while dropping things on the kitchen floor or when I was listening to crypto market analysis. My cats would have become very good crypto traders had they been able to understand English language! This habit of sleeping most of the day gave me time to get on with my tasks. Late afternoon and evening time are supposed to be our play time together. This routine has worked out very well for us.

During my routine walking meditation at night, orange cats would be sitting in the middle of the circle of my walking path. They would be grooming themselves calmly with no concern about stray dogs or aggressive black cat. I guessed they felt secured and protected there. I would be praying during my meditation to focus my fuzzy mind. The ending of meditation session would include prayers for sending out compassionate healing vibes into space and all around the world for all sentient beings. Sometimes my mind became very quiet, I would initiate a conversation with the universe out there. Once the connection was on, lots of energy would be flowing down from outer space to be spread all around like invisible waterfall.

At this moment, both cats would be running towards me and sat on my feet. They needed to have physical connection with me to partake in this healing energy. This has become a part of our evening routine. I was vindicated by the presence of my orange cats and their reactions, so I was not imagining things by myself. My cats could feel these special vibes too. I am very grateful to Mother Earth and all invisible beings like the land spirits and others for their healing vibes and protection. I pray that they always look after my orange cats and keep them safe all the time.
