Happy late Caturday: I need to take a break,เราต้องหยุดโพสต์สักพักหนึ่ง

Time has not slowed down as I requested and I could not accomplish my goals of preparing for my move to the countryside. So, I need to have a break from posting for several weeks so that I could finished all unfinished tasks. But I would try to upvote posts whenever I have some spare time. Besides, my cats are waiting for me to be with them more often. Following the news on the prospect of financial melt down by the end of the year and the political undercurrent in my country, I could not be very optimistic about next year situation.

I have been going to feed several stray cats at the temple by the river twice a week. I am beginning to be attached to some cats there. I am a bit worried about some cats when I could find them at the usual spots some time. So, I had to go back the following day to find out if they were alright. Luckily these cats are very alert and quick in running to hide. Samsi, my favourite cat has found a new spot for hiding. He did manage to find a way to go up under the roof of the rest rooms near the car park. So, I could call out loudly for him in the evening; then he would answer my calls and came out from under the roof.

There are two big dogs, belonging to some senior monks, that would be taking their evening walks around the temple ground everyday. One dog is an big Alsatian and the other is the Alaskan dog. These are big and fat dogs with very loud barking noise. Luckily they didn’t see me as unfriendly when I tried to stop them from chasing after the cats. But the Alsatian would grumble loudly at me but I told him to be a good boy. I think these dogs are used to seeing these cats around and they just have to show them who’s the big boss around the temple!

When the time came for me to away for a big while, I would worry about these stray cats. But some monks would be feeding them from time to time. I did try to find the tiny orange kitten, about two months old, that has been missing for ten days now. I tried to search for him around the ground of the temple, but to no avail. I hope some kind visitors have adopted that tiny kitten. I did notice that these cats belong to different clans or families. The black cats control the area on the left side of the temple; they liked to be near the trees and monks’ quarters.

The younger cats with no families tend to hide on the right side near the monks’ school building. I was quite impressed that some cats would spot me from thirty meters away and started running towards me. I don’t know if it’s a good idea to make these cats depending on me too much. They ought to be tough and strong in order to fend for themselves in this world of uncertainty. However, I would try to feed these cats as long as I could. I hope that monks would continue to feed these temple cats regularly. I must get on with my main responsibility this time!

ตอนนี้เราแทบไม่มีเวลาเป็นของตนเองเท่าไร มีเรื่องจุกจิกให้ต้องจัดการแก้ปัญหา และมีเรื่องต้องคิดไตร่ตรองหลายเรื่อง ทำให้แทบไม่มมีเวลามาเขียนโพสต์ทุกวันเหมือนสมัยก่อนมีโควิท เราต้องจัดการเก็บของ และจัดบ้านให้เป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อยสักที เรามีเรื่องห่วงใยหลายเรื่อง แต่ก็ต้องค่อยๆปล่อยวางให้ได้. เราไปเลี้ยงอาหารแมวที่วัดสัปดาห์ละสองครั้ง เราเริ่มรู้จักลักษณะนิสัยของแมวแต่ละตัวมากขึ้น เรามีแมวที่ชอบมากอยู่สองตัว ตัวเล็กอายุประมาณหกเดือน และตัวใหญ่อายุประมาณหนึ่งปี ตัวใหญ่เราเรียกว่าสามสี เพราะคล้ายกับแมวที่เราเคยมีตอนเด็กๆ.

ถ้าวันไหนไม่เจอแมวสามสี เราจะเป็นห่วงถึงความปลอดภัยของมัน ทำให้เราต้องหาเวลาไปเดินตามหาแมว สามสีหาที่หลบมุมใหม่แล้ว มันเก่งมากที่ไปหาที่เงียบๆได้ในใต้หลังคาห้องน้ำ ทำให้ไม่เปียกฝน และสุนัขในวัดก็ปีนไม่ถึงด้วย เราต้องไปเรียกชื่อมัน และร้องเรียกสามสีสักนาที พอมันได้ยินเสียงเรา. สามสีจะร้องตอบมาแต่ไกล ราวกับว่าเรากับแมวคุยกันรู้เรื่อง. ส่วนลูกแมวอายุสองเดือนหายตัวไปแล้ว เราซื้ออาหารแมวเด็กไปให้มันด้วย เราก็ได้แต่หวังว่าคงจะมีคนใจดีรับมันไปเลี้ยงที่บ้านแล้ว แมวสีส้มตัวเล็กหายไปสิบวันแล้ว

เราเองคิดว่าการไปเลี้ยงอาหารแมวแบบนี้ จะทำให้แมวอ่อนแอและไม่เข้มแข็งหรือเปล่า เราก็เริ่มติดแมวและมีความกังวล ถ้าไปแล้วไม่เจอแมวที่เคยมากินอาหาร แต่ถ้าเราไม่ไปเลี้ยงอาหารแมว แมวก็จะผอมมาก และสุขภาพไม่ดีด้วย เราคิดส่าแมวเป็นสัตว์ที่ชอบเข้าสังคม และชอบมาพึ่งพาคนมากด้วย ถ้าเราอยู่ต่างจังหวัดแล้วเจอแมวตัวนี้ เราก็อาจจะเอาแมวกลับบ้านด้วย แต่เราคิดว่าแมวที่โตมาแบบเร่ร่อน มีอิสรภาพเต็มที่ คงจะไม่ชอบมาอยู่ในบ้านคนที่มีรั้วบ้าน เราจะต้องหยุดโพสต์สักพักใหญ่ เพื่อดูว่าเราจะสามารถจัดการภาระกิจที่ต้องรับผิดชอบได้ตามที่ตั้งใจไว้ได้หรือเปล่า แต่เราก็จะหาเวลามาให้คะแนนโหวตโพสต์เป็นระยะในเวลาที่เราพักผ่อนจากภาระกิจหลัก เราก็หวังว่าแมวเร่ร่อนที่วัดคงได้รับการเลี้ยงดูอย่างสม่ำเสมอด้วย

The two stray cats in the car park; one has gone missing for three weeks now. Only the grey one, Sandy is left alone in the car park!
