Loop it baby!

Do you know them? Songs that have such a perfect part in there that just makes the rest of it absolutely fade away and you just want to listen to that specific part again over and over?

Well I do have that and I tend to run into them over and over and play songs multiple times in a row. But sometimes it doesn't one stick to just listening a whole song again, sometimes there is only a break in there that you had wished that this would have a more prominent place.

Today I am going too call this 'Loop it baby' which is actually kind of an hommage to the Muse album 'Origine of symmetry' which released 20 years ago this year, and and has the most brilliant song 'Plug-in baby' on there.

'Loop it baby' or 'plug in baby'....you catch my drift right? OKay let's go!

Capella - Move on Baby

Remember this golden oldie 90s classic from the Eurohouse genre? I guess it would be 1993 or 1994 when this song was in its successfull days? Actually the song itself is not such a winner but...the intro..the damn intro...

The first 30 seconds of bass of this song before the lady with the gigantic mouth starts to sing...these seconds to me are EPIC.

Quite recently I was driving through the snow and the radio played this one, I turned the speakers on blast and saw people looking at me. Oopsie. But I was inspired and looked up the song again and looped it for a while. Classics!

Machinehead -Davidian

Now fair enough, Machinehead is not for everybody but if you do like a bit of guitars, this is actually one classic you should know, but just in a totally different genre.

From the 'Burn my Eyes' album which is a brutal beauty and also from around 1994 I think on Roadrunner records this song was sampled a lot actually.

At 3.43 in the song after the last words ' Pour salt in the wound, so unscarred' that is when the real action begins if you ask me. Then the guitars go monotone and just go in a hypnotizing modus of dark borst. Have you ever heard of the band 'Sun 0)))' ? They have even more the droning bass which goes endless. Well, Davidian doesnt have this in thet kind of way, but damn..what a riff.

The XX -Intro

You dont know 'the Xx'??? Now go be ashamed of yourself, because this is selftitled album is really one of the winners of the Zeroes. The XX is a really impressive band who are also really good in live shows and I guess 'Intro' is one of their most famous ones. Why??

Because it is an instrumental song which feels neverending. And that is how people treat it as well. If you look on Youtube then you see how people have made already endless loops of this song with versions of an hour, and I even saw a 24 hour version of the same song.

Yes, the song is kind of trippy, and I guess a lot of people also use it that way. 24 hours of the same song. I call this one the winner!

I guess it is starting to feel like Summer, because music is back again. What other song or parts of a song do you know that deserve it to be looped over and over?

I can't say I remember Capella - Move on Baby from the 90s but it is unmistakably the sounds from the 90s haha! Getting people to turn around as you blasted the music out is what it's about! They must have joined in haha!

I'm not so much in to metal but hadn't come across the XX until now and loving the chilled out vibes, sounds like a great back ground to driving through the mountains :)

Thanks for sharing these tunes!

The typical Eurohouse sound of the 90s hahaha. You could also have had twentyfour-7, 2Unlimited, or Dr Alban as substitutes for this, but NONE of these have the awesome bass in there that this song has hahah.

Oeee...you do not know the XX? Well I would surely try out their selftitled album with this song as first on it and then with VCR anc crystalised as the next ones on it. Perfect for a spring evening when you are just by yourself and the sun is setting. I saw them once live in this setting, around sunset and it was literally beautiful!
