1st of December: Update on my Online Earnings for November 2023
Hello December!
How do you feel in December? It is the last month of the year, an opportunity for all of us to reflect on the previous months of the year. How did we do? Did we manage to fulfill some or all of our goals? Is there still time to come up with a new strategy and rise above our expectations? Or, ultimately, were/are we happy?
What should be our goals for now and for next year? Should we re-evaluate them?
Just as with every first day of a new month, I have prepared another online earnings report. I used to have second thoughts about whether to publish this or not; However, I received many messages by you, asking me to continue and mentioning how motivating this is for you.
So without any further ado, I will share all the juicy details below.
As always, please note. We are talking small amounts here. For me they are fine as a side hustle because I also do other things and have a full-time job.
The question to ask yourself is not if this amount of money would be sufficient for you. It is only a matter of .. do you enjoy this? Do you find value in being a blogger / content creator? If the answers in those two questions are yes - then by all means - do continue!
My top priority is to make sure that you you will have fun reading my blog, and that your experience will be educational and why not, rewarding! This daily habit of mine gives me pleasure and joy as is. The rewards are just the icing on my cake :)
Already 11 full months into 2023! Let's see what this month has left us to examine, to see thoroughly, to analyze and to help us decide further.
I will below analyze the earnings from my blogging activities, through:
Hive - LeoFinance
This month I saw an increase in my earnings, they managed to remain over the $100 and came close to $200.
The total amount earned for the month of November is $190, as opposed to last month $130
It's worth to note that my best-ever month in 2023 was February where the total amount equaled to $256.

Medium!
I was happy to match and slightly increase my maximum earnings .. This means a whooping monthly $81.76!!!
Well at least I can pay for my subscriptions :)
For you who do not know, Medium is an author's platform where you can write posts and be rewarded as per the views of the subscribers (it costs 5$ a month to be a subscriber or 15$ a month if you want to be added to the extra tier). You are required to give your full KYC & Tax info and get paid via Stripe on a monthly basis.

This month I only made one post, and I did not visit the site on a daily basis.
The monthly earned amount was $0.15

Other side hustles
I received 0 $ from Pexels donations to my images, 0 for one of my free books in gumroad and I have almost 2$ in AttaPoll - Surveys. Unfortunately you cannot withdraw less than $3, so I will probably withdraw next month.
In total the earnings of October were: $272
(Last months was $177)
As always most of the amounts in hive are not moved, but invested in the platform itself. The earnings of publish0x are usually moved after they reach a specific treshold and the amounts of medium are transferred to my bank (and have been spent until now for personal expenses and for paying the medium subscription of 5$ as well as the twitter subscription for appx 10$.)
(The last 2 days I upgraded my medium subscription, so it will be interesting to see how this will affect the platforms' earnings)

My future goals include finding some passive income streams and trying them out.
We can all see that consistency is the key in anything we do, however it is not always easy to do so.

Those Medium earnings are amazing! What kind of content are you posting on there? I have found that the splinterlands content I post on there doesn't get any traction at all.

The Medium earnings have to do with supporting other members, having boosted stories, or publishing in specific publications. I am not sure if splinterlands content would have any interest in that platform, especially if you do not spend time socializing there.. Let me know if you have queries or if I should write a post about it!!
I must be honest - alot of what you wrote there went over my head- ahah! You are probably right, that splinterlands content won't have any traction there. But I would be interested in reading a post about what you do on medium to get that kind of earnings from the platform
I was checking out another author writing on a Facebook group of earning 1K from one post!
Compared to that, I make absolutely nothing :)

Looks like you had a good month in both platforms. Consistency is sure the key and also what I like in my publishing endeavours. I’ve heard about Medioum, but never really got round to trying it out. Have a great December too!

Whopper woah These are amazing earnings. I really love to see your progress on both hive.blog and on medium I mean you easily crossed 270 dollars which is a very good earning my good friend. I am gonna try to help you out so you can join the amazon influencer program so may be you can find some success there as well as I am quite lonely over there (getting mass clicks 30k plus yet no sales) I need an influencer like you to teach me the roads on that platform as well. Thanks for sharing your income report. I think it is the aim of many to create a nice online income and Hive seems to be one of the best places to realise that goal.

Is Medium a social network based on blockchain?
Medium is not based on the Blockchain. It is mainly an HTML writing platform, but the balance seems to be tipping towards being a social media platform.
Katerina earns a lot because she works hard, publishes at least once daily and responds to other writers.
The Medium earnings model is biased towards deep, nuanced, human stories. Some Medium members subscribe because they are interested in topics such as:
Biasing payments away from these stories could mean fewer will be written and more readers cancelling their subscriptions.
Currently I wouldn't consider it as a crypto social, Medium doesn't attract my attention
I may be leaving when my subscription is due for renewal.
