Do not let anyone take your dreams & ideas away from you
A couple of days ago, I had an idea.
And I wanted to discuss it with a person close to me, for whom I have a great respect.
I opened the discussion using a sentence like the below:
"The world is now at a transitional phase, and there are so many opportunities to create new things online! It has become really easy to make money and all that is needed for a great start is a smart idea. This and a plan :)"

And what kind of response you think I got?
"What are you talking about now? This is not possible. NOT at all! To make anything, to be successful, someone needs to have money. There are not any opportunities here in Greece, it is not the same as in other countries"
(First shock of me)
And the person goes on
"Do you think that Zuckerberg would have created Facebook if there was not any money involved? Anyways, it is not possible to do anything at this time. And I cannot think of anything else to tell you"
And that was that.
If I was younger I would probably feel like my wings were just shattered. I would feel as if I should give up on all my dreams.
But no.
I thought that its ok if I have noone close to me to support me.
I will continue to dream and to make plans and to think of all the different ideas that I could do. They may succeed, they may not succeed.
But I can't think that just sitting and doing nothing is an option for me.
The world is out there and as long as we are healthy, alive and thinking human beings, we should not, ever, let go of our hopes.
It really helps if you have people around who can be your mentors, that you can look up to them and also ask their advice.
But not everyone has this blessing, this opportunity.
Thankfully we have access to anything we desire online.
Let's learn how to use our time & creativity the best possible way.
Never let anyone's discouragement become the stumbling block on your path to success. Use it as a stepping stone to prove them wrong and fuel your determination

Regarding goals and ambitions, you can expect the most harm from those close to you. It's called comfort zone and people don't like when someone goes outside because those who stay will look lazy.

You don't need money—if you have a brilliant idea, investors will come "knocking on your door". An example that comes to mind is Starling Bank, the digital challenger bank that beat Monzo to it. The founder was Anne Boden, and her book, Banking on It, is definitely worth the read.

Negative flows around us and we need to surround ourselves of positive and optimist people if we want to evolve in live. I truly understand your feeling and I can appreciate anything that someone builds as it is much more than just doing nothing.

What that person told you is accurate for them! Not you, them. It's their perspective on the world, their glasses through which they see and perceive what's going on. Fine. You have your own perspective though and that's all it comes down to. Know that you are a beautiful soul, an alchemist that enables you to seek out opportunities and turn your dreams into reality. Associate with like-minded souls and keep growing.
No matter what people say or do, it should not bring us down or discouraged us to prevent us to achieve success. We should keep going
